Tornadoes Sweeps Through Midwest, Delays Games
(AP) - A series of violent tornadoes made their way through the Midwestern U.S. today, damaging part of the main MLG headquarters and delaying the competition.
Two tornadoes raged all throughout Illinois and smashed into the corner of the MLG building, destroying the room where the NCAA Basketball 10 games were being held. This storm will force the MLG to make the competitors wait another day or two to play until they can find a new location for the games. "It's mentally tough on the gamers," said MLG executive Shane Coverson. "They get all ready and fired up to face off, and then they are forced to wait. It psyches them out."
"The storm came at the worst possible time," said James Tannenbaum, who has already played his week 2 game. "Right in the middle of our competition, we are forced to stop. It's like an extremely long rain delay in baseball."
Most of the EGC (East Gaming Conference) games were finished, with many surprising upsets and huge blowouts. However, due to the fact that not all games have been completed, we cannot tell you who won and lost quite yet.
Week 2 will be restarted--and hopefully finished--on Friday.
