2-0
Cole 73, Lukaku 88
Liverpool overcame 2nd placed Tottenham in a tense encounter at Anfield. After a dull first half, Keisuke Honda set the game alight with a brilliant solo run before pulling back for Joe Cole to dent Spurs' dreams. Then, late substitute Romelu Lukaku skipped through and stabbed a shot past Gomes.
0-2
Torres 47, Honda 62
Liverpool took a great win from Old Trafford, much to the delight of Rhys Jones. After a cagy first half, Liverpool came out all guns blazing, Kuyt pumping a long ball into the box for Torres to chest down and volley home. Then Honda mesmerised the United defence and curled an exquisite effort around van der Sar.

J

1-0
Kelly 64
Liverpool became League Cup Champions in a thrilling tie at Wembley. Liverpool started better, a string of Andy Carroll efforts saved, before Defoe slotted wide. Then, from a corner, Aurelio crossed for Kelly to head past Gomes. An overjoyed Jones lifted the trophy with his team, as they look to win the quadruple.

NEXT MATCH: MIDDLESBROUGH (A) FA CUP

Re: You'll Never Walk Alone (FIFA 11 PS2)

Im playing as a player/manager, it's my second season, and the transfer window is open. How do I transfer players? I tried doing it on the main menu but it doesn't seem to carry over into my career mode team.

Thank you in advance,

MM

Unfortunately, when you transfer a player in the main menu, it will work for Kick Off and every tournament and career mode that you start from that point. Unfortunately, it won't carry over into the career mode.
To sign players (never been as player manager but presuming) go into transfers, go into the transfer market, find a player you want and press X in transfer season, which will take you to a bid screen. Set the negotiations, play a match and then you get the response.

Hope that helps

To all wondering why this has stopped, my PS2 has given up on life :'(. However, I will be getting an Xbox 360 and may do a FIFA 12 Career Mode.

is the "transfer" menu found when in career mode? b/c I can't find anything resembling that (I can only find a transfer type menu in the main menu). I'm so lost!

I've just had a look, and unfortunately, I don't think you can make Transfers in player-manager
