TRANSFER TARGETS?
Rhys Jones has announced today some players he would like to bring to Anfield in January. His top targets are Gareth Bale, a fellow countryman to the Reds boss and a player he's always rated, a young right back (Phil Jones, Blackburn's £5m rated 18 year-old could be the answer) and a new striker, which paves the way for the departure of Ryan Babel and Lucas in the January transfer window. Numerous strikers have been linked with the club, including Luis Suarez (Ajax), Carlos Vela (Arsenal), Thomas Muller (Bayern Munich), or a controversial bid for Man United's Javier Hernandez. Liverpool placed a bid for Carlos Tevez in August following his transfer listing from Man City, but were beaten to him by Villareal for £22m.

Paul Robinson made several saves which got Blackburn to a draw in a dull game.

Liverpool cruised to a first league victory since the beginning of the month in fine style, although in the fifth minute Robbie Blake scored a shock goal to put Bolton in front. However, Liverpool remained unfazed and in the 10th minute Steven Gerrard's long range effort found the net. In the second half, a great square from Dirk Kuyt was met by a powerful shot from Dani Pacheco, who got his first league goal. Then with 5 minutes left, Pacheco hit the bar and Cole dive headed in the rebound.
