Swindon Town is off to a quick start emerging into the top three seeming to be promoted next season, but being only three fixtures into the season it is difficult to be optimistic. They are being bit hard by the injury bug, but Tyler Starks has been fairly calm and managed to build the team around unity filling in players as they are needed. They lost in the first round of the League Cup in a 3-2 decision that was lost in the eighty-third minute on a beautiful strike. With them opening the J. Paint Trophy Tourney this weekend their match upis against a (0-0-3) Yeovil Town that is looking to be relegated after falling in a combined 2 to 7 score through the three games. It's a very winnable game for Swindon City. The following week they have a huge matchup against Cheltenham Town, who is off to a fast start currently undefeated (2-1-0). Yet Swindon Town did knock off a previously undefeated Hereford squad.
Tavares was wildly considered the best player on the team at the midfield position, after the squad acquired him early in the month. Things had been fairly quiet but he burst onto the scene in a big way with two strikes going into the net against Yeovil Town, leading Swindon Town over the nPower League 1 side. As expected he was named man of the match.
Thanks bro! It took me almost a week to figure out when offsides was called. I felt ridiculously stupid when the announcer said something about passing the defense and I finally googled it. I always figured you couldn't pass into the box and that's why it was being called. But I'm good for now.
If you want, if you could explain to me what the abbreviations on Box Score OS Generator this are. I know shots and SOG, but after that it's like a foreign language. Since most updates are just going to be stats it would be good to know what each one stands for.
I got CK as Corner Kicks and OFF as offsides but even I'm struggling to decode the rest!

Swindon Town saw their fast start lead into a poor September. Closing out august and September with a (1-2-2) record that only net them five points hurt them badly. Out of the top three and out of the playoff range, they will need to claw their way back in. This teams lack of depth is apparent. With a solid rotation of strikers, they are lacking in a big way in the midfield and defense. Something that will need to be adressed.

Swindon Town continues their struggles, needing all of October to pick up a win. The draws keep them in playoff and promotion talks, but this team has major issues. The injury bug has bit them hard this season but Manager Tyler Starks is running on an almost empty budget and the team is one or two more pieces from being fully competitive. This is just not their year. Eliminated from the League Cup and the J. Paint Cup, the team can focus exclusively on the league play.
The team is keeping up with contract expectations of finishing mid table, sitting on the wrong end of the midway mark. The team needs to grow more consistent. Talent wise they are capable of promotion, but their play has been erratic and the reserves are virtually non-existant. The loss of Tavares is going to be a tough one to stomach especially after losing Loanee, Abdullah to injury.
Swindon Town (11-12-6) 45 Points
Sixth in nPower League 2
The transfer window has closed, and Swindon Town did little more than some spring cleaning. Cutting out some of the fat at the striker position, they loaned out a few of the youth, and brought in one midfielder. Their attempts at a defender fell apart as the transfer window closed before a deal could be struck up. On the positive side, the money left over will allow for the scouting of some youth, and have said to be taking a search in Egypt to scout some talent, their scout Billy Izzet responsible for that. While newly hired scout Mirko Jelacic whom has a little more experience and is slightly better at scouting just inked his contract and is heading to the clubhouse before being sent out on his own assignment.
A big move was an over from the Bristol Rovers (4th) who were trying to proach McCormack from the starting XI. Tyler Starks denied the offer which even despite being larger than the estimated value of the midfielder, the euros were not enough to tilt the scales in favor of giving the competition their own talent.
Swindon Town is out of all the tournaments, only advancing out of the initial round, once. For the Johnstone Paint Cup. They would be eliminated in the second round. Yet as the board said, it was not expected for this squad to compete in the numerous cups. They are happily satisfied to be in the top of the table.
Lander Gabilondo has been a bright point for this squad, starting the season as a fringe player that was stuck on the reserves he has been developing into the best of the striking core that this team has. At the age of 24, he still has some development ahead of him, but Tyler Starks has to be proud of his progress.
Swindon Town would go (2-1-1) through a strong November ringing up seven points, suffering their only loss of the month to Crawley Town in a 1-0 decision. They would also be knocked out in the first match of the F.A. Cup, in a 1-0 loss to Wycombe.
With an extremely busy December, Swindon Town would go (4-1-1) in what may have fully turned their season around. Opening the month with a 4-0 game, and knocking off Burton Albion twice with the same scoreline of 3-1, they quickly pulled themselves up the table.
Finally in a three game January, they would get points in every matchup going (2-1-0) including a goal in the 89th minute to stop Accrington Stanley from pulling off an upset. Their lone victory against Macclesfield Town, a 1-0 victory. With their attention focused on the transfer window it was fairly uneventful, with the only new arrival being Omar Rams, the midfielder should contribute in his opening match, but their biggest needs in the defensive end of the pitch went unanswered.
