The Story of the OSWA: Part 2

In 2002, a promotion called the Operation Sports Wrestling Association opened doors. Owned by the duo of Dalton Henry and Harlee Estepp, the company started at a backyard level, and had to work its way up the ranks. Since the beginning, the company has went head-to-head with another organization called Ring of Honor. In 2005, OSWA made huge news by signing Bryan Danielson from RoH. He appeared on an OSWA event one day after his ROH release. Two years later, TNA signed Danielson and then in 2010, WWE finally got their hands on him. But then OSWA started to go down. In August 2011, Henry and Estepp sold the company to a former WWE and WCW worker. His name is Billy Kidman. Kidman promised to take the promotion to new heights, and eventually be on top of the world.

Dalton Henry and Harlee Estepp are still part of the active roster, and are still heavily involved behind the scenes. As part of Kidman's plan, most of the OSW's roster was released. He signed a couple Pro Wrestling Guerrilla. But the most shocking signing was that of the returning Chris Jericho. At Beachside Battlefield 2011, Jericho defeated Henry and Estepp in a three-way 60-minute Iron Man match to win the vacant OSWA Heavyweight title. On that day, Jack Evans defeated Low Ki, El Generico, LA Par-K and Austin Aries in a five-man ladder match to win the OSWA Jr. Heavyweight Championship. Jeff Hardy beat Colt Cabana in a talent showcase match, and The Kings of Wrestling defeated The Briscoe Brothers and Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team in a three-way tag team match to win the OSWA Tag Team Championship.

Now heading into the Anniversary Show, Kevin Steen and Roderick Strong are being set to debut. Now the world is wondering if Kidman really can tak OSWA to the tiptop of the wrestling world.

Re: The Story of the OSWA: Part 2

OSWA Anniversary Show
October 2nd, 2011

The arena is filled with people, eager for the event. A big screen is above the entrance way, a special treat for the fans who cant see the matches. The ring is red red black ropes, similar to ROH's setup. The ramp is silver with lights n each side of it. A ring announcer comes out and announces the next match. It is a Four Way Tag Team TLC Match for the OSWA Tag Team Championship!

The Kings of Wrestling vs. The Briscoe Brothers vs. Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team vs. Colt Cabana and El Generico
WGTT and The Briscoes teamed up at the start to take down all opposing competition. After clearing the ring, and Jay Briscoe went to get a ladder, WGTT took down Mark Briscoe and threw him out of the ring. Chris Hero fought Cabana while Claudio Castagnoli took on Generico. Jay brought the ladder into the ring and helicopter'd everyone. He set up the ladder and attempted to climb it, but Hero and Shelton Benjamin tipped it over, sending Jay over the top rope, through a table. Ow. Hero and Benjamin went at it until Charlie Hass clotheslined Hero over the top. Cabana then came in and bulldogged Haas and Generico hit a cutter on Benjamin. The duo climbed the ladder and attempted to grab it until Mark Briscoe did a springboard onto the back of Benjamin and put him in a sleeperhold until he fell off. Jay came back in and knocked Generico off the ladder. Hero came in with a chair and nailed Mark. He then DDT'd Jay onto the chair and went up the ladder. Claudio brought a table into the ring and hit Haas in the gut with it. Claudio and Hero both grabbed the titles for the win of an amazing opening contest.

-Roderick Strong is being interviewed backstage. He says he wants Low Ki in a match tonight. He says Low Ki has been purposely ducking and hiding from him because he's afraid of what would happen if they crossed paths. Low Ki shows up at the interview, and accepts the challenge.

Jack Evans vs. Austin Aries for the OSWA Jr. Heavyweight Championship
Aries comes out first, to massive boos from the crowd. Evans then makes his entrance to major applause. The two stare it down before the bell rings. Aries attacks Evans and takes advantage of him early. Evans punches back and hits a missile dropkick which knocks back Aries. Aries reverses a irish whip and hits a hard lariat. Aries again kept Evans on the ground defensively, and controlled him greatly. Later in the match, Evans reversed a suplex into a DDT. He went to the tope rope and hit his 720 degree roll splash onto Aries for the hard-fought victory.

Roderick Strong vs Low Ki in a Grudge Match
Low Ki fired at Strong with his famous stiff kicks and very stiff punches. Strong eventually took the upper hand and hit a vertical-supex-into-seated-powerbomb move that the crowd cheered for. Strong hit a backbreaker and then put Low Ki into into a camel clutch submission hold. After 3 minutes and a commercial break, Low Ki lifted Strong and rammed him into the corner. Low Ki s favoring his back, and cannot lift Strong. Instead of flashy moves, Low Ki went back to the stiff kicks and punches. But on an attempted kick, Strong grabbed his leg and twisted him around into an Ankle Lock. Low Ki had no choice but to submit.

-Montel Vontaneous Porter went to the ring and cut a promo about how tonight, he'd defeat the only and only LA Par-K. He talked about how In New Japan Pro Wrestling, LA Par-K beat him in a ladder match for the IWGP World Junior Heavyweight Championship. LA Par-K came out and attacked MVP, and the match started.

MVP vs LA Par-K
Due to the pre-match fight, LA had the early lead. He took great advantage of MVP and hit some good aerial cruiserweight maneuvers. LA tried doing a hurricanrana, but MVp reversed it into a powerbomb. MVP hit a brainbuster and then an elbow drop. LA then hit a punching combo, which startled MVP and stunned him long enough for LA to hit a dropkick. LA irish-whipped MVP and they both were down for a while. MVP got up first and DDT'd LA. MVP hit a piledriver for the win.

-Comissioner Billy Kidman came to the ring and said he had an important announcement to make. He said that the OSWA's roster was too small to make it big, and therefore, OSWA would be going under a 'New Talent Initiative'. He said that at the next event, the lower card would be filled with new talent, whom you may have heard of, and if they perform well, will be signed.

Jeff Hardy vs. Kevin Steen
Hardy and Steen stared each other down, not wanting to make the first move. They grappled a bit, but Hardy dropkicked Steen. Minutes later, Steen is technically owning Hardy. But Hardy recovered and clotheslined Steen. Hardy then snap-suplexed Steen. Steen however fought back and hit a DDT. Steen took Hardy and was about to package piledrive him, but then the lights went out. After about 7 seconds, they turned on and both competitors were covered in blood, knocked out. And Vampiro was in the ring! The match is declared a no-contest.

Chris Jericho vs. Dalton Henry vs. Harlee Estepp for the OSWA Heavyweight Championship
Jericho showboated to begin the match, while Henry and Estepp looked at eachother, and attacked Jericho together. They threw him out of the ring, and started grappling. After 2 minutes of technically-gifted wrestling, Jericho came back in and Bulldog'd Henry and arm dragged Estepp. He piledrived Henry and superplexed Estepp. Then, music started playing of a theme used over 5 years ago. It was very similar, but no one could name it. But then is stopped. Then another started playing of about 8 years ago, and it was in the WWE. People knew the name of the theme, 'End of Everything'. Then on the big screen a shadow figure was shown, holding his arms straight out with his head tilted back. Most people knew it was the one and only, Raven. Then the screen went out, and the 3 wrestlers in the ring were stunned and didn't move. Then Jericho started attacking the other 2 again. But Henry fought back and hit a neckbreaker. He went to the top rope and went for a 450 splash, but Estepp speared him in midair! What a move! The crowd's going wild! But again, that first theme started playing again, and a huge, buff man stood at the top of the ramp. With a suit and shades, the man was indentified as Batista!! Oh my goodness, Batisa has made it to OSWA! The theme that played was called 'Monster', Batista's 2nd WWE theme. In the ring, Estepp stood there in shock and Jericho knocked him down and hit a Lionsault for the victory. Batista ran to the ring, clotheslined Estepp and Henry over the top rope, and speared Jericho! He grabbed the title and rubbed it into Jericho's face. The fans are louder than ever. The show went off the air with a smirking Batista standing alone with the OSWA Championship.
