Real Madrid spoils Guerrero's debut. 2 goals from German International Mesut Ozil and one from Gonzalo Higuain gave the resident best club in Madrid 3 points to start the La Liga season. Guerrero played the full 90 and worked the keeper on a couple of occasions bringing out an excellent save by Casillas and an unlucky bounce on another that bounced wide off the post.

"I thought I played OK but Real Madrid as a top quality club. We're going to have be better next week vs Atletico Madrid".

Rayo hosts the other Madrid squad next week in Matchday 2.

Rayo earns first their La Liga win over rivals Atletico Madrid

Guerrero's carefully placed through-ball put Piti in on goal where he slotted it home giving the young Chilean his first ever professional assist.

Guerrero does little to impress in Rayo's 1-2 defeat vs Granada.

"I couldn't get into a groove today. I'll have to hit the training pitch and put in some hours." said Guerrero.

Thanks fellas. We're (Rayo) not very good and we play ULTRA-CONSERVATIVE.

Overall the AI is pretty good though rhysyboy. I've been surprised at how competent and human-like it can be at times.

Rayo wins but a disappointing match for Guerrero who was pulled after 60mins. Guerrero's only impact came in the first half where his left footed shot went into the side-nettting.

Heartbreak for Rayo!

Going up against the better sides in La Liga like Villarreal will always be an up-hill battle. Ray lack the creativity in front of goal and the fortitude to opposing attackers from bombarding their keeper. Today, the defense fought valiantly but an errant shot by Guerrero on the last kick of the match gave the Yellow Submarine all 3 points.
