As Smackdown began broadcasting, Curtis Axel and his representative Paul Heyman made their way to the ring. As Paul Heyman began going off about the success of all of his clients, including the Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel, Santino Marella made his way to the ring to challenge Axel. Heyman and Axel laughed at Santino and accepted his challenge.
As the bell sounded, Santino inadvertently knocked out the referee, and then suddenly, Cody Rhodes made his way to the ring. Rhodes stunned the WWE Universe as he delivered a Cross Rhodes to Axel, and woke up the referee as Santino was pinning him, costing Axel the match. Is Cody Rhodes targeting Axel and the Intercontinental Championship?

Prime Time Players VS The Usos
Spoiler
In a rematch from last night's tag team match on Superstars, the Usos were set to take on the Prime Time Players once again, this time hoping to get the victory. The WWE Tag Team Champions were upset by the Prime Time Players last night on Superstars, and challenged them to a match tonight.
The Usos were relatively dominant at the start of the match, as Darren Young was isolated from his large partner, Titus O'Neil. O'Neil decided to enter the ring and attack Jimmy, which allowed Young to tag O'Neil in. O'Neil went to work on both of the Uso's. After the Prime Time Players hit the Ghetto Blaster on Jey Uso, they were able to get the pinfall again against the champions. Do the Prime Time Players deserve a title shot?
Winner: Prime Time Players via pinfall

Kelly Kelly VS Eve
Spoiler
The Divas Champion was challenged backstage to a one on one match by Kelly Kelly, in which Eve actually didn't initially accept. But after more taunting by Kelly Kelly, Eve reluctantly accepted. Eve was able to hit a standing moonsault early, but was unable to get the 3-count. After a devestating super kick by Kelly Kelly, she went for a K2, but Eve countered out of it. This led to a stink face in the corner by Kelly, which set up a K2 for the victory for Kelly.
Winner: Kelly Kelly via pinfall
Match #4:
Tag Team
Wade Barrett & Damien Sandow VS Christian & Goldust
Spoiler
Both Wade Barrett & Damien Sandow came into this one looking to pick up a victory that would help them rise in the Smackdown ranks, but that had to go up against two tough competitors in Christian and Goldust. With Sandow and Christian starting the match off, Sandow got the early advantage and tagged in Wade Barrett. The Bare-Knuckle Brawler took it to Christian, not allowing Captain Charisma to tag in the fresh Goldust. When Goldust was finally tagged in, Barrett and Sandow used excellent teamwork to break him down. Goldust began fighting back, as he even hit Barrett with a superplex from the top rope, but Sandow and Barrett once again used solid teamwork to take down the strange superstar.
Goldust was able to tag in Christian, who took out both Barrett and Sandow, but Barrett was able to stop Christian's momentum, while at the same time busting him wide open. Barrett and Christian were able to tag in Sandow and Goldust, and after Sandow controlled Goldust, he tagged Barrett back in. Barrett wasn't paying much attention, and he was rolled up by Goldust, as Christian and Goldust got the victory.

Tag Team
The Shield (Rollins & Reigns) VS Kane & Big Show
Spoiler
Last week on Raw, Seth Rollins attacked Roman Reigns during their 6-man tag team match and left the arena, but is their relationship patched up now? The reigning World Tag Team Champions are definitely gonna have to be focused in order to take out Kane & Big Show in tag team action tonight.
Kane & Rollins started the match off, and Rollins was actually able to keep the Big Red Monster in check. Rollins and Reigns seemed to shake off any sort of problems that they have, at least temporarily, as they worked well together against the two hulking big men. Rollins and Reigns were able to keep the World's Largest Athlete, the Big Show, down on the ground for a long while, as they just continued to attack his lower base. However, Big Show came back, and as it looked as if Show was looking for a chokeslam on Reigns, Reigns countered and tagged in Rollins. Rollins and Reigns were able to hit a solid double team on Big Show that nearly ended the matchup, but Show was able to tag in Kane, who was all fired up. As soon as Kane came in, Reigns was tagged in as well, but Kane hit a devestating powerbomb on Reigns that nearly got the win.
The action spilled outside, and the ever dangerous Shield once again got the advantage. And then, in an insane moment, Roman Reigns speared the Big Red Machine through the ringside barricade! Seth Rollins picked up the mess and threw Kane back into the ring to Reigns. Kane was able to make a tag to Big Show, who planted Reigns with a chokeslam to pick up the victory. With a 2nd straight victory over the Shield, are Kane & Big Show in line for a title shot against the Shield? And will the Shield be able to fix their chemistry after Rollins' attack on Reigns last week?
Winner: Kane & Big Show via pinfall

Rey Mysterio VS Luke Harper (w/Bray Wyatt)
Spoiler
After interfering in Mysterio's match on Heat against Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper was challenged by Rey Mysterio to a one on one match on Raw. Harper accepted, and took on the former World Champion with his "brother" Bray Wyatt in his corner. Harper dominated most of the match, and although Rey was nearly able to pull off the victory, Harper was able to plant Rey with a swinging sidewalk slam to put the Masked Superstar away for the victory.
Winner: Luke Harper via pinfall
Match #4:
WWE United States Championship
6-Man Over the Top Rope Battle Royal
(c)Dean Ambrose VS Big E. Langston VS Dolph Ziggler VS The Miz VS Kofi Kingston VS CM Punk
Spoiler
Raw General Manager Brad Maddox created this matchup earlier tonight, as Dean Ambrose claimed that he would fight anybody to defend his United States Championship. Maddox put that claim to the test as he made a 6-man over the top rope battle royal for the gold. In the match are 3 former World Champions and multiple United States Champions, so it's going to be a tough battle for Ambrose.
Right from the get-go, CM Punk gunned for Dean Ambrose. Punk defeated Ambrose on Saturday on Heat, and he'd love to add another title to his accolades with the U.S. Championship. However, as the action began to get more and more out of control, it was Ambrose who eliminated the first man, as he kicked The Miz to the curb. And then, Ambrose teamed up with Kofi Kingston to throw Dolph Ziggler out of the matchup while Punk and Langston battled in the corner. Right after teaming up with Kingston, Ambrose chucked Kofi out of the ring, ending their brief alliance.
The final 3 were Ambrose, Punk, and Langston. As Punk and Langston battled on, Ambrose tried to keep himself out of the action until one was eliminated. However, as both Punk and Ambrose realized that Langston is the arguably the biggest threat in this type of matchup due to his size, they reluctantly teamed up to throw him out of the match. As just Punk and Ambrose remained, the WWE Universe went nuts, as two of the greatest independent wrestling stars were the only ones left in the Battle Royal. As the two continued to battle on, Punk went for a GTS, but Ambrose reversed it and tried to throw Punk over the top, but Punk held onto the top rope and pulled himself back in. Ambrose went for his reverse snapmare, but Punk reversed it and clotheslined Ambrose over the top rope to win the United States Championship!
Winner and new WWE United States Champion: CM Punk

#1 Contender's Match for WWE Championship
One on One
Randy Orton VS Daniel Bryan
Spoiler
After Randy Orton turned on his back on the fans, he's reverted back to his old theme song and his old, brash attitude. But tonight he's facing a very, very tough competitor in Daniel Bryan in a match to become the Number One Contender for the WWE Championship.
Bryan wasted little time as he went right after the Viper, but with Orton's experience, the action moved back and forth. As Orton and Bryan exchanged blows, it was easy to tell who the WWE Universe was behind in this matchup, as Yes! chants were blaring all throughout the arena. As Orton began to get the advantage, he went to work on the Submission Specialist with submissions, ironically. Of course, they didn't work as Bryan claims to know a counter to nearly every hold, and he did at least for the submissions that Orton applied.
Daniel Bryan finally began to muster some offense against the Viper, and once he had the Apex Predator down, he went right for a Flying Headbutt, but Orton caught him with an RKO in midair! As Orton took his time to make the cover, Bryan seemingly recovered and kicked out at 2. The action soon spilled outside, where Bryan got busted open from the ringpost. With the blood pouring down Daniel Bryan's face, Orton rolled him back into the ring. However, Bryan was able to roll Orton up for a pin, but the two kept switching positions in the small package as neither were able to put the other away for a 3 count. After Orton kicked out of the final small package, he hit an RKO on Bryan right as both of them were getting up. This time he wasted no time to cover Bryan, as Orton picked up the victory and the right to face Cena for the WWE Championship at Badd Blood.
Winner and new number one contender for the WWE Championship:
Randy Orton via pinfall

One on One
Justin Gabriel VS David Otunga
Spoiler
The ECW Television Champion Justin Gabriel is set for one on one action after losing to Drew McIntyre last week on ECW. Gabriel is looking to pick up a bit of steam after he's had a bit of a slump as of late. Otunga, on the other hand, has been teaming with Ted DiBiase Jr. recently, but even that has not translated to much success for Otunga.
Gabriel started the match off with a series of fierce kicks to Otunga's legs and midsection, but lost momentum after Otunga rolled out of the way from a springboard splash. Otunga then kept the South African grounded with a heavy assault to his midsection and head. After the action spilled to the outside, Gabriel regained the advantage with a swift superkick to the jaw, but he failed to get the win after rolling him into the ring and pinning him. After Otunga recovered, Gabriel hit Otunga with a spinout powerbomb and ascended the top rope for the most exciting move in sports entertainment, the 450 Splash. The cameras began to flash as Gabriel sat on the top rope, and once he jumped, the WWE Universe knew that it was over after an awesome 450 Splash from Justin Gabriel.
Winner: Justin Gabriel via pinfall
Match #2:
6-Man Tag Team
The Union (Khali, Hassan, Mahal) VS Brodus Clay & The Madness (Ohno & Morrison)
Spoiler
The ECW World Tag Team Champions Jinder Mahal and Muhammad Hassan were able to convince General Manager Mick Foley to make their tag team match against the Madness a 6-Man Tag Team Match, with their heavy The Great Khali in their corner. But Foley decided to even the playing field, as he let the Madness choose their partner, who turned out to be the Funkasaurus, Brodus Clay.
The match started with the two big men in the ring for both teams, but things quickly got out of hand as each side began attacking the legal men. After the action settled down, Khali got the advantage for the Union, as he showed he is the most dominant superstar in this match. However, both Khali and Clay made tags at the same time, with Hassan and Ohno entering the fray. Hassan got the early advantage and went to work on the rookie. Hassan then tagged in Mahal, who busted open Ohno with a few knees to the forehead. Ohno found a way to his corner and tagged back in the Funkasaurus, but Mahal quickly grounded him and sent him to the outside, where the Union went to work on him. And then, out of nowhere, the Great Khali picked up Brodus Clay and slammed him through the ringside barricade!
After Hassan threw Clay's carcass back into the ring, Mahal went for the cover, but Ohno broke it up, knocking down Mahal in the process. Clay then tagged in the fresh John Morrison, who utilized his speed and experience to regain the advantage for his team. Morrison hit Mahal with a facebuster and busted Mahal wide open! However, after interference from Hassan, Mahal busted open Morrison. Morrison was able to make a tag to Brodus Clay, but after The Great Khali put Clay in the Vice Grip, Mahal was able to pin Clay and win the match for the Union.
Winner: The Union via pinfall
Match #3:
One on One
Evan Bourne VS Drew McIntyre
Spoiler
After defeating the ECW World Television Champion last week, McIntyre could be in line for a title shot if he's able to knock off the high-flying Evan Bourne tonight as well.
In a relatively back-and-forth match, McIntyre and Bourne traded blows in their contrasting styles. McIntyre, a little more of a powerhouse than a high flyer, was hitting Bourne with tons of suplexes and strikes, while Bourne was flying around and kicking McIntyre from every possible angle. McIntyre was able to ground Bourne with a series of submissions, but Bourne stuck with it and fought out of them. Frustrated by Bourne's perseverance, McIntyre left the ring and went to the outside, but Bourne followed and threw McIntyre face-first into the steel ring post. However, after the action moved back inside, McIntyre regained the advantage with some more tough submissions on the high flyer.
McIntyre hit some more fierce suplexes, but Bourne was able to hit a hurricanrana on McIntyre. With McIntyre in the middle of the ring, Bourne climbed to the top rope and hit the Air Bourne on McIntyre to pick up the win.
Winner: Evan Bourne via pinfall
Match #4:

Fandango VS Scotty 2 Hotty
Spoiler
After defeating Evan Bourne last week in an Extreme Rules match and winning a Fatal 4 Way match on NXT, Fandango has all sorts of momentum coming into tonight. Before the match, he criticized his opponent's dance style, calling it, "hideous and shameful to the art of dance."
Before the match started, Fandango went for a clothesline on Scotty but inadvertently hit the referee, knocking the ref out. Fandango then suplexed Scotty, went to the outside and grabbed a chair, and hit Scotty across the face with it, busting him wide open. He quickly threw the chair to the outside before the ref recovered, and with Scotty out cold and bleeding, he climbed the top rope and hit his flying leg drop to pick up the victory.
Winner: Fandango via pinfall
