Amazing scenes as FC Barcelona grab late win

A nail biting game turned into one to remember for FC Barcelona fans as their players managed to snatch a dramatic later victory against Real Madrid to lead the two game series, 3-2.

"That was the just reward for the Pressure we exerted in the second half," said the Barca manager. "I always fancied us to win, whether it was a late goal or dominating performance. Credit to the players, they never gave up and got what they deserved."

It was a wonderful finish to an absorbing game that saw Real Madrid rally with a penalty and a header.

Alex Song said: "That's the type of encounter that reminds you why you fell in love with the game in the first place."

Pen to paper: Barcelona agree with Italian club, Sampdoria, for midfielder Pedro Obiang

Italian club Sampdoria have agreed to sell Pedro Obiang to Barcelona for an agreed fee of €7.5m.

Obiang, 21, has represented Spain at U-18,19 and 21 levels and is also of Equatoguinean descent who started his career out with Atletico Madrid before playing in Italy for two seasons with Sampdoria.

Barcelona's management has forced a crack down on foreign internationals in the team, with three of the six signings this summer being Spanish players.

"I'm very pleased to join a team like Barcelona," said Obiang. "It's going to be a good playing for such a big club, It's good to be back home and I'm going to get ready to play for the best club in Europe, the defending Champions League champions.

Sources close to the parties involved claim that the Spaniard has agreed to a 4-year deal worth at least €25k per week.
