What settings are you using?

I'm doing something similar, but I'm having basically infinite 0-0 draws. Even if teams are completely overmatched, the highest goalscoring game I've had is 2-1.

When I'm the home team I use a easier difficulty. When I'm the away team I use a harder one.

Or you can do higher seed lower difficulty. Lower seed higher difficulty.
