Rough month for Sunderland. We sit 14th in the Premiership, with 1 points. Spurs lead the EPL with 8 points.

Match 1:
Good, competitive football with the only break in discipline coming of a Ruiz goal in the 26th minute. Other than that, all played well; can't complain.

Match 2:
The defense is all there, but the offense can't seem to get anything done. Altidore is slow; Adam Johnson's been marvelous but few others have been.

Match 3:
Maoure Chamakh netted both Palace strikes, one on a snapper in the 15th minute and another on a penalty in the 40th. Sunderland's only goal, first of the year, came in the 89th minute on a spectacular shot from Sebastian Larsson.

Looking pretty good so far. I like the custom graphics especially. Wouldn't mind some more stats or details about your matches. Keep it up!

Thanks! Not too many stats to report, but I will post more in-depth stuff for September (when I can actually check stats, as opposed to remembering).

Excellent, excellent month!!

Match 1:
Sunderland's First Win on the year, all thanks to a revolutionary new style of attacking play. Arsenal was constantly befuddled, being forced to come from behind after Emmanuele Giaccherini scored a beauty in the 23rd minute.

Match 2:
Jozy Altidore scores his first Sunderland goal in the 5th minute on a beautiful feed from CAM Adam Johnson, and Craig Gardner adds one in the 40th from just outside the penalty area.

Match 3: Capital One Cup
This one Sunderland took in penalty shootout 4-3, as Emmmanuele Giaccherini scored the winner. Keeper Keirin Westwood made a key save on Swansea's fifth shot.

Current Match Average Leader: Mobido Diakité—7.6

Re: Black Cats in Light: A Sunderland AFC Dynasty

Well, screw it. I played most of the season last night. That's how you know FIFA is a good game.

Premier League Update:

1. Man City (58)
2. Spurs (51)
3. Man United (49)
4. L'pool (48)
5. Arsenal (47)
6. Everton (47)
7. Sunderland (45) 14-2-11

City has been superb, while Spurs held the early lead. Sunderland has a chance for a Euro League spot, but they're heading downhill after a 5-game win streak.

Cup Update:

Champions Cup:
After the first game win vs Swansea in penalties, Sunderland proceeded to fall in penalties to Reading. It's Chelsea vs Man City in the final.

F.A. Challengers Cup:
Sunderland in round of 16 bound, where they will face Yeovil Town.

Transfer Update:

Sold:
Lee Cattermole (CDM—76) to L'pool for $4,500,000
Cattermole had played 2 games, was requesting a transfer, and I felt no reason not to comply for $4,500,000.
Phil Bardsley (RB—72) to Wigan Athletic for $2,500,000
Ondrej Celustka really took over the position, and Bardsley had done nothing in limited appearances.
Carlos Cueillar (CB—73)
Did not play, opted out of contract.

Bought:
Marco Cerriera (CB—70)
Good depth, he's subbed in a few times and he's been good.

Sebastian Larsson got about 30 transfer requests, but I kept him.

International Update:

I accepted the position of South Africa head coach. In two international friendlies, RSA beat Ecuador 2-0 and India 1-0.

Stats Update:

Jozy Altidore leads the EPL with 15 goals. He's netted one hat-trick and twice scored two goals. Wayne Rooney is second, with 13.

Stephane Sessegnon leads the EPL with 11 assists, while he also has 4 goals.

Adam Johnson has 9 goals and 9 assists.

Sebastian Larsson has 2 goals and 7 assists.

Craig Gardner has 3 goals and 1 assist.

Modibo Diakité and John O'Shea both have 1 goal.

Keirin Westwood is second in the EPL with 12 clean sheets. Joe Hart leads with 13.

Best Game:

Easy choice, a 2-1 killing of Man United takes the cake. Altidore scored in the 12th minutes, Kagawa equalized in the 13th, and Segesson netted the winner in the 56th.

I'll get back to my monthly reports when I'm on a normal schedule.
