Welbeck Leads Gunners to 2nd Defeat of Champs In 2 Months

LONDON -- Danny Welbeck proved to be brilliant once again for the Gunners netting a 45' minute goal, and picking up right where he left off in the 2nd half finding the net again just 6 minutes into the 2nd half. The win puts the Gunners at the top of the Premier League table just 1 point ahead of Manchester United.

Arsenal opens Champions League play next week at Galatasaray on Tuesday evening in Istanbul.

Galatasaray Earns Draw With Arsenal

ISTANBUL -- Heavily favored Arsenal was in poor form in their opening match of the Champions League on Tuesday night against home side Galatasaray. Bruma found the back of the net against a soft Arsenal defense in the 71'. Arsenal, then found some urgency with Danny Welbeck blasting in an equalizer just 5 minutes later, to secure 1 point each

Arsenal Flat Again | Earn Draw at Villa Park

BIRMINGHAM -- Arsenal came out extremely flat for the 2nd consecutive game at Villa Park on Saturday afternoon. After giving up an early 17th minute goal to Christian Benteke, Arsenal was unable to orchestrate any offense until a last ditch effort from Mesut Özil in the 85th minute, and earn that valuable point early on in the season.

Arsenal will try to regain their momentum next week as they host their hated North London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur.

Gunners Regain Form, Down Spurs 3-2

LONDON -- Alexis Sánchez blasted a shot off of Spurs defender Younès Kaboul to start the scoring for Arsenal in just the 10th minute of the match. He would later find, and get credit for, 2 more goals to lead the Gunners over the rival Spurs—despite a 2 goal performance from Emmanuel Adebayor.

Arsenal Mounts Comeback | Downs BVB 2 - 1

LONDON – A rainy night in North London couldn’t hold off the comeback from Arsenal in their 2nd Champions League fixture against Borussia Dortmund. Ciro Immobile opened the scoring for Dortmund in the 40th minute with a header on a corner kick, to give them a 1-0 lead heading into halftime. Theo Walcott was tackled in the box in early in the 2nd half with some aggressive defense from BVB, allowing Santi Cazorla to connect on a penalty, knotting the game at 1-1. Arsenal would go on to earn corner in the 85th minute, and a freshly subbed in Mesut Özil would send the kick into the middle of the box to find his 6’6 German International teammate Per Mertesacker, as he smashed a header past keeper Roman Weidenfeller to give Arsenal a 2-1 lead, which they would not relinquish. Arsenal and Galatasaray now sit tied atop Group D, with 4 points each through the opening 2 fixtures.
