Fresh Takeover Bid For Owls?

SWFC Chairman Milan Mandaric

According to our sources within the club, a group of Thai investors who are locked into negotiations with Sheffield Wednesday are one of several parties who have expressed interest in buying the Championship club in recent months.
Sky Sports understands the club have also had talks with potential investors from China and the United States, however it is the Thai group who are now in advanced negotiations with Owls chairman Milan Mandaric over a reported £30 million pound buyout, although a deal has yet to have been struck.
Mandaric, who is currently away on business in the States, nearly sold the club last summer, but his proposed deal with Azerbaijan businessman Hafiz Mammadov collapsed after contracts had been exchanged. Thw months ago, Mandaric admitted that the club was losing close to £6 million pounds a year and that he was actively seeking a buyer who could invest into the club.

Transfer News

-AC Milan have struck a deal with Borussia Dortmund for the services of CB Neven Subotic who heads to Milan in a £9.5 million pound deal.

- Blackburn Rovers defender Matt Killgallon will be heading to Brighton & Hove come summer following a pre-contract agreement.

- Wycome Wanderers striker Matt McClure will be moving to Birmingham City in the summer after coming to terms with the club on a pre-contract deal

- Sheffield Wednesday have loaned out 19 year old GK Joe Wildsmith to Gillingham for the rest of the campaign

-Werder Bremen have sold striker Franco DiSanto to Ligue 1 side Lyon in a £5.5 million pound deal

- Audax Italiano have sold striker Felipe Mora to RC Lens for £625,000 pounds.

- Striker Nico;as Medina goes from San Marcos to Bolton in a £475,000 pound deal

- Norwich City have sold out of favor GK John Ruddy to FC Schalke for a cool £6.5 million pounds

SWFC 0-1 Brighton & Hove

Scoring Summary
78' Andrew Crofts - B&H

Albion Win 7th Straight, Go 4th

Andrew Crofts give Albion the lead and the game

Brighton & Hove Albion gave their automatic promotion hopes a huge boost on Saturday, picking up a narrow 1-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday on the strength of a 78th minute goal from Andrew Crofts, assisted beautifully by Israeli midfielder Beram Kayal.
The victory is the 7th in succession for Brighton, and their 9th in succession without a defeat.
As for Wednesday, they continue to sputter, unable to build any momentum in their quest to make a run at top 6, and a chance at promotion.

SWFC News & Notes

-In his post game news conference, Owls manager Stuart Gray announced the RM Chris Maguire would be out for the rest of the season with a broken tibia, suffered in the loss to Brighton. Newly acquired loanee Julian Brandt also suffered a knock, and could miss about a week.

-On the transfer front, Gray admitted that the club were in advanced talks with Arsenal concerning 17 year old American midfielder Gedoin Zelalem on a loan to buy deal. Asked about his thoughts on a possible takeover, Gray had no comment citing last summer's botched takeover attempt as a reason for caution.
