WWE 2K14 Universe Mode - The Rise of Impact Wrestling

The time is April, 2015 and Total Non-Stop Action (TNA) Impact Wrestling is quietly beginning to hit on all cylinders. With a new producer and Booker the show is beginning to tap into it's potential in a way that they have been unable to do in the past. TNA announced in January, 2015 that they would be returning to their monthly Pay-Per-View (PPV) cycle and it would begin in April with TNA Lockdown and continue every month from there on out.

Let me introduce to you how exactly I'll be doing this. I downloaded custom superstars for almost every active Wrestler on the TNA Roster and I uploaded their current theme music a long with adjusting their entrance motion. I will play every match on my own to ensure I get the results that best fit the Story lines. I also created every stable that is currently in TNA and will implement them each into the game. I'm still getting used to uploading Photos from my Cell Phone to the internet so Photos of everything I am talking about are coming soon. Also, for those of you wondering, RAW, NXT, and Smackdown are three other brands I have on the calendar but all of those matches will be simulated and will not have any association with Impact Wrestling.

Re: WWE 2K14 Universe Mode - The Rise of Impact Wrestling

April 3, 2015 Impact Wrestling Results

Opening Promo: The show begins with all four members of the Beat Down Clan coming to the ring. BDC Leader MVP grabs the mic and aims an angry tirade towards Impact newcomer Drew Galloway. He tells Drew that he had no business interfering in his matches the previous two weeks and that he will make him pay. He then announces that they will square off in three weeks at Lockdown instead of a Steel Cage!

Match #1: Bobby Roode vs. Samuel Shaw

Bobby Roode's music hits to a huge pop and chants of "Welcome Back". After all, 5 weeks is a while in the wrestilng world. Bobby shows a little bit of ring rust and Shaw puts up a little bit of a fight but Roode is able to finish Shaw off relatively quickly with a Roode Bomb.

Winner: Bobby Roode

Match #2: Austin Aries vs. Manik w/ James Storm

The self pro-calamined Greatest Man That Lived looked the part in this contest as he looked impressive over a quality opponent in Manik. Aries picks up the win via Submission

Winner: Austin Aries

Backstage Promo: TNA World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle and Eric Young embrace each other and share some choice words before Young attacks Angle and gets the upper-hand for a few seconds before Angle regains his composure and starts slugging Young left and right before security breaks the two up.

Match #3: Havok vs. Gail Kim

These two Knockouts display what the division is all about in this one. The two go back and fourth with the momentum not staying with one side for very long before Havok is finally able to string together the last few moves ending in her signature resulting in a big victory in the championship discussion for Havok.

Winner: Havok

Match #4: The Wolves vs. Beat Down Clan (MVP and Homicide)

Very exciting back and fourth match by two of the most talented tag teams TNA has to offer. The Three-Time Champions are able outlast the BDC as The Wolves are able to continue their dominance.

Winner: The Wolves

Match #5: Matt Hardy vs. James Storm in a Ladder Match for a future X-Division or Tag Team Championship match

An instant classic by these two men. You'd think that coming into the match that Matt has the advantage with how many Ladder matches he has participated in over the years but James Storm is able to grab the brief case right before Matt Hardy could climb the ladder and stop him.

Winner: James Storm

Match #6 Ethan Carter III w/ Tyrus vs. Rockstar Supd

A decent match that showed Rockstar Spud have a lot of heart but came up short as EC3 remains undefeated.

Winner: EC3

Backstage Promo: Cameras flash backstage as the Beat Down Clan are ganging up and attacking Drew Galloway backstage. They slam him against the wall and anything else near-by they can use to hurt him until he is laid out unconscious with a lead pipe by Low Ki.

Main Event: Kurt Angle vs. Eric Young if EY wins he will face Kurt Angle at Lockdown for The TNA World Heavyweight Championship inside of a Steel Cage.

A very good match that showed EY take control for most of match until Kurt was able to bounce back near the end and even had EY ready to tap out to the Ankle Lock before EY was able to stretch out towards the ropes at the last second and break the hold. EY threw Kurt outside the ring and began to plumbe Kurt with cheap shot after cheap shot until the ref was at the count of 7 and EY ran back in the ring but Kurt was unable to regain his composure in time to get back to the ring and was counted out. EY find the cheapest way to do it but he inserts himself in the Main Event at Lockdown.

Winner: Eric Young by Countout

Re: WWE 2K14 Universe Mode - The Rise of Impact Wrestling

Wrestling Rumor Mill: Former WWE Champion CM Punk is reportedly considering signing with TNA.

ThisIsWrestling.com reporter Shane Lockette is reporting that former WWE standout and current Free Agent CM Punk has spoken with TNA President Dixie Carter about a possible contract with the company. The offer is reportedly a three year deal (which is rare in TNA as they mostly offer one-year deals to wrestlers) somewhere in the ball park of $350,000 a year. Punk is reportedly intrigued by the offer because of the less-demanding schedule that TNA has to offer. TNA generally tapes two months worth of TV episodes in a four day span, a monthly PPV, a select number of house shows / live events, and several autograph signings per year. This would allow Punk to have plenty of time off to spend with Family and friends. Punk signed with MMA company Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in December of 2015 but he is believed to be working a part-time schedule with the company and it should not affect a potential signing with TNA. We will have more details as they come.

TNA releases wrestler Knux

TNA has agreed to release Knux, known as Mike Knox in WWE, upon his request. Knux has not wrestled a match for the company in over four months. Some people are speculating that this move may to be to make room for CM Punk, whom the company is reportedly in negotiations with.

Re: WWE 2K14 Universe Mode - The Rise of Impact Wrestling

April 10, 2015 Impact Results

LOCKDOWN is 9 days away and with only two shows left before the PPV anything could unfold.

Opening Promo: The show begins as the crowd is chanting "CM PUNK" amid the rumors of his potential signing as Eric Young's music hits as the crowd boos the once proud fan favorite. He discusses how he's going to pick Angle apart at Lockdown and win the TNA World Heavyweight Championship for the second time. Angle comes out and explains to EY why he will remain TNA World Heavyweight Champion. The two go back and fourth with verbal assaults and nearly go at each other before Austin Aries surprisingly comes out and informs the two that he plans to cash in his Feast Or Fired briefcase containing a World Championship Match at Lockdown and thus making it a Three-Way at Lockdown! As Aries is getting ready to leave the ring he is attacked by EY before Kurt Angle makes the save beating the living hell out of EY before being separated by security.

Match #1 - The Bro-Mans vs. The Wolves

A pretty basic match here as The Wolves display their dominance as a tag team on the Bro-Mans. The Wolves pick up the victory.

Winner: The Wolves

Match #2 - James Storm w/ Abyss vs. Bobby Roode

These two used to team up to form one of the best tag teams in TNA history but sense they broke up they have not seen eye to eye. This match was probably one of the most underrated matches in a while as the two exchange momentum before Bobby Roode picks up the victory despite an attempt at interference by Abyss.

Winner: Bobby Roode

Backstage Segment: Cameras flash backstage as the unstable Bram is attacking Rockstar Spud. Rockstar Spud tries to fend Bram off but is unable to do as Bram knocks Spud unconscious. It is not clear if Bram has a problem with Rockstar Spud or if he just attacked him for the heck of it.

Match #3 - Kenny King (c) w/ MVP vs. Tigre Uno for the X-Division Championship

An awesome display of two young X-Division up-and-comers shows the champion come out on top in a solid match up

Winner: Kenny King

Match #4 - The Revolution (The Great Sanada and Manik) w/ James Storm vs. The Hardyz

The Revolution was able to get an early stranglehood on the match before The Hardyz stormed back in a big way and had the match won after a Jeff Hardy Twist of Fate but James Storm distracted the referee as Jeff had Manik pinned and The Revolution were able to capitalize off the interference defeating The Hardyz. After the match The Revolution proceeded to attack the Hardyz leaving them in the middle of the ring as James Storm stands over them and announces he will be cashing in his World Tag Team Title Opportunity won last week at the Lockdown PPV.

Winner: The Revolution

Match #5 - Ethan Carter III w/ Tyrus vs. Magnus

These two go at it back and fourth through most of the match but the pinfall goes to EC3 after Tyrus distracted the ref and Carter was able to get a cheap shot in on Magnus followed by his 1 per-center finishing move resulting in yet another win by EC3.

Winner: EC3

Backstage Segment: Austin Aries and Drew Galloway are talking backstage about their main event match up vs. Beat Down Clan as Kurt Angle walks up and extends his hand for a hand shake to Aries hand and tells him good luck tonight. Aries denies the handshake and says thanks but I don't need your luck. Aries walks away as Angle looks at him with a surprised look on his face.

Main Event: Austin Aries and Drew Galloway vs. Beat Down Clan (MVP and Homicide)

Drew Galloway's debut match in TNA went exactly like he would have planned out as Aries and Galloway mesh excellently and are able to notch a hard-earned victory against the BDC. The ending saw MVP and Aries in the ring together and Aries hit the Brain Buster and pinned MVP. The show ends as Galloway and Aries celebrate the win in the ring.

Winner: Austin Aries and Drew Galloway
