December's Fixture List:

A little light on the fixtures as Serie A believes in the winter break (something the EPL needs badly IMO) but it will 4 matches in 14 days so we'll need to rotate the squad a little bit. Hellas Verona at home is winnable before another home match in the Coppa Italia vs La Spezia. We finish off with a rare trip south to take on Frosinone in what should be 3 points.

In this episode we have Milan taking La Spezia in 2nd round TIM Cup action before looking at some emails and contracts.

So far the Coppa Italia has been tough for us despite the fairly easy draw. We squad rotate in some players but it's still 2 lackluster performances in this tournament. At the end of the day we're still in and getting some excess funds for the upcoming window.

Thanks Fudgy! Yeah Honda is a bit of an enigma. He's solid across the board but doesn't really stand out. He tends to drift in games for me but he's able to play multiple positions so he's not too bad from a utility standpoint. We will try to move him though since he still has some value left.

I think I skipped the match vs Hellas Verona in here, lol. So in these 2 episodes we'll have a home match vs Hellas and a trip south to Frosinone (love saying that name).

SERIE A MATCHDAY 15 & 16

Just a poor performance all around vs Verona. Our defense just fell apart and Lazaros was able to find space and punish us. Good to see that we rebounded against Frosinone but we're still wasteful in front of goal. With the window now open we'll have an opportunity to improve on that if things fall our way.

Up next: Winter Break followed by some January Transfer Window activity and then a return to action against Bologna.

LOL. Hursty, it was one of those games where you just know you're going to lose. Every 50/50 ball is theirs, your shots hit the post, etc... It was also a match that told me we're not good enough from a talent perspective to overcome things like that.

After closing out December with a win vs Frosinone we dive into the January Transfer Window. Part 1:
