Preseason is finished, with a goodoutcome, maybe even unexpected. It gave us a good financial status, but the squad is closed, no more transfers for the current season, at least not untill the winter market.

Oficial season is now starting and our first matches in the month of August are:

Moreirense - Home
V. Setúbal - Home
Estoril - Away

Finally the season has started, and Guimarães hosted Moreirense and V. Setúbal. Moreirense are a rather weak team but Setúbal will give us problems for sure. But our team is strong and in good form after a promising pre season, so let´s see what happened...:

First match started really good, with our guys taking their chances, but Moreirense answered with strenght and tried hard untill the end for the equalizer... We had a little bit of luck after all but won the first 3 points, very important for a good start.

V. Setúbal were, as expected, hard to beat, but our eficiency was crucial and if it weren´t for a bad mistake on defence, we could have won this one. There were some problems on defence, so we need to take care of them for the upcoming matches.

Next we are facing Estoril away. Though it may not seem, it´s a strong and fast team, so our defence has to stay sharp all the time, and we´ll need to take our chances on goal, as I believe they won´t be many.
