WWE 2K17: The "New" Era unfolds!

It's less than twenty one hours removed from Wrestlemania. The week before Wrestlemania, Vince McMahon revealed that this will be the last Wrestlemania before the "New" Era. There will be new championships, new brands, and both shows will be live. Stephanie McMahon will get Monday Night Raw, while his son Shane McMahon will be getting Thursdays to show off what he's made of with Thursday Night Smackdown. Both shows will have a draft to define their new brands. The draft show will start at 3:45pm as a Network special the day after Wrestlemania.

What new changes are in store for the company as a whole? How will this all unfold? That's what were find out!

The show starts off in tonight's Monday Night show's arena. A graphic explaining the rules for the draft are listed.

[1. Due to it being the flagship show, Monday Night RAW will receive the first overall draft pick.

2. Both brands will receive fifteen picks. Once each brand makes fifteen picks, the rest of the roster will be drafted through a lottery system.

3. Tag teams will counted as one pick unless a general manager wants only a single member from a tag team in their pick. Or if a tag team chooses to enter the draft as individuals.

4. Four draft picks will be made from the NXT roster. The current NXT champions cannot be drafted onto the brand.

5. If a superstar with a championship is picked, their respective brand will receive that championship.]

Both Shane McMahon and Stephanie McMahon come out to an excited crowd. Both stand over their brand’s respective podium and get ready for the draft. Stephanie says that Monday Night RAW is on the clock, and a graphic on the titantron starts a five minute timer.

Stephanie McMahon goes to the back to think about who her first overall pick will be. It takes around four minutes and Stephanie comes back to out to announce that “With the first overall pick, of the 2016 WWE Draft, Monday Night RAW selects Seth Rollins!”

Shane then announces that Smackdown is on the clock, the five minute timer starts, and Shane goes to the back for a bit. Shane soon comes out to announce that with the second overall pick, Smackdown will select the “Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose, thus also receiving the World Heavyweight Championship.

Stephanie then goes to make her pick. She comes after using nearly all of the five minute timer, she announces that, with disdain, that Roman Reigns will be coming to Monday Nights.

Shane’s turn. Shane comes out quickly announcing that he will be using one of the four possible call ups. He announces that coming to Thursday Nights is… Finn Balor!

Stephanie McMahon once again goes to the back, while an advert from the previous weekend plays. Once the advert is over, for some reason, Paul Heyman comes out with Stephanie McMahon to announce the pick. He announces that, coming to Mondays, is the “Beast Incarnate” “The Night Mayor of Suplex City” and “The Conqueror” Brock Lesnar!

Shane goes to the back again, to think about who his third selection could possibly be. Shane comes out to announce that with next pick, the Intercontinental championship will be coming to Thursdays. Obviously insinuating that his next pick is the current champion, ten time Intercontinental champion Chris Jericho.

Stephanie looks angry at this pick. Obviously she wanted one of the most prestigious championships on her brand. She goes to the back and quickly returns saying that she has an even better champion coming to her brand. She says that RAW will have a Women’s division with Charlotte coming to Monday Nights.

Shane once again goes to the back to think over his next selection. Shane comes back out with a huge grin. He happily announces that his next pick will be the steal of the draft, Sami Zayn!

Kevin Owens’ music hits as the crowd boos. He shouts at Shane calling him a complete idiot for picking Sami above him. Stephanie says that she agrees with Kevin, and without going to the back, she announces her next pick is Kevin Owens. As Kevin Owens leaves the stage he yells to Shane “You’ll regret this” before going to the back.

Shane is once again on the clock to make the tenth overall selection. He once again comes out claiming that he has a future steal with his next pick. He announces that Smackdown’s next pick, and the tenth overall pick is “The Boss” Sasha Banks!

(Well, there’s part one guys) There should be three parts total of the draft show. Then maybe two additional parts with the lottery picks. I hope you caught on to some of the things I changed in my world. I’ll post the previous Wrestlemania card to catch you up, as well as the TakeOver: Dallas card. I hope you enjoyed this opening show. This universe should be a lot of fun. Last year’s was boring, which is why I couldn’t sustain one for a prolonged period of time.

Soon after the selection of Sasha Banks is made, Shane looks at Stephanie and says “counter that.” Stephanie replies “I will.” She once again doesn’t make her way to the back and announces that she is using the second pick from Full Sail. She announces that coming to RAW's women’s division is none-other than Bayley. The fans roar once this news is announced.

Shane once again goes back to make his pick. While this is happening, the camera cuts backstage as Renee Young is set to interview the first overall pick of the draft, Seth Rollins.

Renee Young: “I'm standing by with Monday Night RAW's first overall selection, Seth Rollins. Since were the first pick of the first draft of the new era, I have to ask, how does it feel?”

Seth Rollins: “Did you expect anything else? No one has been as consistent and as dangerous as I have been since coming to the main roster a few years back. Ask Dean Ambrose, ask Roman Reigns, and ask John Cena what it’s like to go up against Seth Rollins. One thing all three of those guys have in common is that they can all say the same thing, “I lost the to Seth Rollins.”

Renee Young: “Speaking of one of the those three guys you mentioned, Dean Ambrose, last night at Wrestlemania, Dean captured the WWE world championship from you when he pinned Roman Reigns in the triple threat.”

Seth Rollins: “Did you just hear yourself? You said when he pinned Roman Reigns. Not Seth Rollins. If that match would’ve been a one on one with me just me and Dean, the outcome would’ve been different. Besides, who was the number one pick?”

Renee Young: “Well, that’s it for Seth Rollins, we now go back to the stage, where Shane McMahon is ready to make his next pick for the blue brand.

Shane McMahon says that his next pick is truly “Phenomenal.” The fans once again go crazy. He proceeds with “the third pick, coming directly from NXT is none-other than the phenomenal one himself, AJ Styles!” Chants of “You deserve it” and “AJ Styles” play through the building.

Stephanie McMahon for the third time I believe, makes her pick without even going to the back. Once Shane makes his pick of AJ Styles, Stephanie adds “While he was in another company making his mark, my next pick has been busting it out here for fifteen years. Coming to Monday Night RAW is John Cena!”

Like Stephanie, Shane doesn’t go to the back either. Once Cena is selected, he says “Our next pick has also been busting his butt here for the last fifteen years, he has also had a few legendary moments with John Cena, coming to Thursdays is “The Viper” Randy Orton!”

Stephanie adds “watch out” after Shane picks Orton. Acknowledging her past encounters with the viper. Stephanie goes to the pack to think about her next pick. She back out grinning, saying that the tag team division on RAW is about to an extensive upgrade, “Our next pick are your World, Tag, Team, Champions! The New Day!”

Shane goes to the back. He comes out soon with an odd look on his fans. He quickly goes to the stands to announce that Smackdown’s next pick is the entire Wyatt Family! Stephanie says “Good, you can have them.”

Stephanie once again goes to the back. She comes out quickly, looking excited. Saying that with her next pick, RAW will be getting the United States championship with the next pick. The next is obviously United States champion Rusev!

Once the pick is made for Rusev. Shane develops an annoyed look on his face as that was the last champion on the current roster. He goes to the back, trying to find an acceptable counter. Shane comes back saying that he has found just the guy to counter Raw’s previous pick. “Smackdown’s newest superstar is… “The Swiss Superman” Cesaro!” The crowd gets hyped for this pick.

RAW once again is on the clock. Nearing pick twenty, who will Stephanie bring to the flagship show at this point? As the camera pans onto the winding clock, the clocks winds to zero. A buzzer sounds as Stephanie is rushed out of the back. She says “Sorry for the delay, RAW's next is pick is Neville!”

Well, to cap off the top twenty overall selections. Smackdown is up to end the round. Shane leaves claiming that he will end the top twenty with a bang! Shane comes back out claiming that the top twenty will end “flames.” The next pick going to the blue brand is the final woman of four horsewomen, Becky Lynch.
