Welcoming In The New Era: A WWE 2K17 Universe

Prologue:
We start at Raw, on Monday, April 4th, 2016. It’s the night after Wrestlemania. Last night we saw breath taking moments such as Shane McMahon jumping off the top of the Hell in the Cell, as well as Roman Reigns defeating The Game for the WWE World Championship.

Vince McMahon’s music plays and he struts out to the ring. “Well what a night we had last night at Wrestlemania!” The crowd cheers. He goes on to inform the crowd that the New Era is officially here and has begun. Tonight will be the beginning of the WWE Brand Split, and that the people running his shows will be none other than his daughter, Stephanie, and his son, Shane. Stephanie will run Raw, and Shane will run Smackdown. Both McMahons will be able to choose one person to be their GMs.

The heirs to the McMahon throne come down to the ring and try to one-up eachother, introducing Mick Foley to help run Raw, and Daniel Bryan to help run Smackdown.

Vince concludes his promo, telling the crowd to enjoy tonight’s episode of Raw, and to embrace the New Era…

April 4, 2016 | Washington, D.C.


After a commercial break following Vince McMahon's promo, Roman Reign's music hits. He walks to the stage and puts on a promo about he is "The Guy". Stephanie McMahon comes out and hands him the Universal Title.

Seth Rollins Returns! He comes out and says that he is back, and he wants what is rightfully his. He challenges Roman Reigns to a match tonight! Reigns accepts, but on the condition that tonight is not a title match. If Rollins wins, he will be granted a title shot at Extreme Rules!

Match 1: (C) Kalisto vs Rusev [United States Championship Match]

Rusev was quick to show off his pure strength, but Kalisto managed to be a step ahead with his speed and quickness for most of the match. Rusev managed to catch a break, literally, as he caught Kalisto off the top rope and turned it into a big powerbomb. He continued to work the back of Kalisto, and hit him with anoter brutal pop-up powerbomb to get the pinfall and become the new United States Champion.

Winner and NEW United States Champion: Rusev


Match 2: The New Day vs The Dudleys [Elimination Tag Match]

Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston in for this one after cutting their usual promo.

Kofi manages to eliminate Bubba Ray after connecting with Trouble in Paradise. A series of hot tags from The New Day leads to the elimination of D-Von, as The New Day gets the clean sweep.

Winner: The New Day



Match 3: Sasha Banks vs Dana Brooks

If Sasha wins she gets a title shot at Extreme Rules. This is a rather squash of a match, and Sasha never misses a step. She gets Dana to tap in the Bank Statement.

Winner: Sasha Banks


Match 4: Cesaro vs Kevin Owens

Cesaro is quick to show off his strength, immediately slamming Owens after hitting him with an uppercut. Owens gets some momentum back with a lowblow while the ref isn't looking, and hits Cesaro with a rolling senton. Cesaro manages to Owens away with the Gotch-Style Neutralizer.

Winner: Cesaro


Main Event: Seth Rollins vs Roman Reigns

Seth Rollins will get a title shot at Extreme Rules if he manages to beat Roman Reigns in tonight's main event.

Rollins takes charge early as he hit a flying knee off the top rope. Roman eventually counters and connects with a Samoan drop. Rollins shows off some of his aerial assault with big splash. Reigns is all power though and almost puts Seth Rollins away with a sidewalk slam. The match continues to go back and fourth with both guys trading blows. Reigns takes a big bump as he gets powerslammed off the apron, and then thrown into the guard rail.

The match gets back inside the ring and Reigns throws Rollins off the top turnbuckle into the middle of the ring. Rollins doesn't give up though, and almost gets a pinfall of his own with a phoenix splash. Reigns even kicks out of a pedigree! He goes for a superman punch but Rollins connects with a superkick! Roman looks like he might get up, but Rollins brings back The Curbstomp! That's all she wrote, and Seth Rollins gets the pinfall, 1.. 2.. 3..

Winner: Seth Rollins via pinfall

Rollins stands over Reigns, holding the Universal Champsionship over him as the show comes to a close.

April 5, 2016 | Dallas, TX

The show starts with a promo from Commissioner Shane McMahon and GM Daniel Bryan. Shane welcomes everyone to the FIRST EVER Smackdown Live! The fans cheer. Daniel Bryan says that it's a New Era, and it's time to discuss business. He makes the following announcements;

1. The Smackdown Women's Champion will be decided tonight in a Fatal 4-Way.

2. The Smackdown Tag Titles will be decided with a Tag Team Tournament, the finalists facing off at Elimination Chamber later this month.

3. The WWE World Heavyweight Champion will be decided via the Elimination Chamber, at the PPV later this month.


Match 1: Baron Corbin vs Alberto Del Rio

The Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal Winner vs Mexico's Greatest Export. Corbin carries all of the momentum he got from WrestleMania and puts Alberto Del Rio away after hitting the End of Days.

Winner: Baron Corbin

Promo: AJ Styles comes out to the ring and cuts a promo on how he is going to become Smackdown Live's first World Heavyweight Champion. He announces that he will be one of the competitors inside of the Elimination Chamber.

Match 2: The Miz vs (C) Zack Ryder [Intercontinental Championship]

Zack Ryder looks to defend his title early with a match against The Miz. He accepted this match with the agreement that Maryse would be banned from ringside. Willingly, The Miz makes his entrance to the ring by himself.

Zack Ryder has the momentum early, and almost gets The Miz counted out as he attacks him on the outside of the ring. The Miz is able to catch his breath for a split second as Zack Ryder misses a moonsault off the top rope. Ryder is amped up, and gets right back after the challenger. The Miz is forced to roll out of the ring, and this time attacks Ryder as he tries to chase him. Both men are back in the ring, and the match continues. Ryder hits the Rough Ryder, and follows it up with a big elbow off the top rope to successfully defend his title.

Winner: Zack Ryder

Match 3: Breezango vs American Alpha [Tag Team Championship Tournament]

The debut of American Alpha! The crowd greets them, extremely excited to see what the young guns have to offer.

American Alpha makes quick work of Breezango, and Chad Gable gets Fandango to tap out with an armbar. They move on to the finals at Elimination Chamber!


Winners: American Alpha


Promo: Bray Wyatt comes out before his match and cuts a promo how he, the Eater of Worlds, wants the demon Kane to join him. He tells Kane to watch him dismantle his upcoming opponent, and then to join him and family.

Match 4: Bray Wyatt vs Mojo Rawley

Bray Wyatt does exactly what he said he would. Poor Mojo didn't stand a chance in this one. After the match, Kane's music hits, and he comes down to the ring! He stares at Bray, and turns his back to him, picks up Mojo, and chokeslams him!! Bray smiles, tells Kane to pick Mojo up, and delivers Sister Abigail one more time. Bray and Kane hug, and exit the ring together!

Winner: Bray Wyatt

Main Event: [Fatal 4-Way] Naomi vs Natalya vs Alexa Bliss vs Becky Lynch [Smackdown Women's Championship]

All 4 women go at it immediately, with nobody seeming to get the upperhand. Becky gets a big drop kick on Naomi as Natalya hits a clothesline from hell on Bliss! Finally, Becky and Natalya take it to the outside, and each woman in the ring gets a spot. Eventually every woman is back in the ring. Naomi works on Alexa Bliss while Becky works on Natalya. Natalya is down after a pumphandle slam from Becky, and Naomi drop kicks Becky through the middle ropes! She turns and gets an armbar locked-in on Alexa Bliss. Laying in the middle of the ring, Alexa Bliss has no choice but to tap! Naomi is our first Smackdown Live Women's Champion!

Winner: Naomi

The show ends with Naomi celebrating, the crowd cheering her on...

April 8, 2016 | Bowling Green, KY

Match 1: Naomi vs Summer Rae

Naomi came to the ring sporting her new title. She was in control the entire match, sporting a few good spots such as a hard irish whip into the corner of the ring, followed by a DDT. She then put Summer Rae in a figure-four leg lock, forcing Summer Rae to submit.

Winner: Naomi


Match 2: Chris Jericho vs Darren Young

Darren Young felt like he had a lot to prove tonight as he goes after Jericho as soon as the bell rings. He lands a few punches and then hits a DDT. He picks Jericho up and irish whips him over the top rope onto the outside. Following Jericho on the outside, he tries to irish whip Jericho into the stairs but Jericho reverses! Jericho beats up on Young on the outside some more, including a suplex onto the floor. He rolls Darren Young into the ring and hits a Lionsault for the win.

Winner: Chris Jericho


Match 3: Cesaro vs Heath Slater

It's a game of cat and mouse for Heath and Cesaro, while Heath is avoiding Cesaro's uppercuts at all costs. Cesaro finally connects with one, and follows it up with a backbreaker. He proceeds to stomp the mid section of Heath, who can't seem to catch a break. Cesaro finally tries to pick Heath up who delivers a few shots to Cesaro's stomach. Cesaro puts an end to that with a impressive belly-to-belly suplex. He picks Heath up and connects with the Gotch-Style Neutralizer. This one's over.
