Re: superplex does wwe2k17 The Reality Era

This is the last Smackdown before Fully Loaded.

Tonights Card
Apollo Crews & Rhyno v. Baron Corbin
VaudeVillians v.(c) Breezango (Non TItle Match)
TJ Perkins & Brian Kendrick v. Akira Towza & Tony Nese
(c)The Miz v. (c)Dean Ambrose (Non Title Match)
Randy Orton v. Dolph Ziggler

AJ Styles music hits. He shoots on Cena. Annoyed that once again Cena couldnt even make an appearance. Styles went on to say how surprised he would be if John even showed up at Fully Loaded. He talked about how theres no way he will lose at Fully Loaded. He doesnt have movies, commercials and tv shows to fall back on. This is all he has, and hes damn good at it.
He then had an open call out. Anybody in the locker room can take a shot at greatness. Jack Swaggers music hits. It was looking like we were going to have AJ Styles verse Jack Swagger, until John Cena came out of nowhere and hit Styles with an Attitude Adjustment. This was kind of odd to see...John Cena has never been the type to use cheap ploys and old school heel tactics. Are we seeing a new Cena? The crowd seemed to have more boos than cheers.

We go to the locker room where Corbin is confronting Heath Slater. He tells him that he doesnt need him as a partner, and tells him to stay put. Slater tries to persuade him, but to no avail.

Apollo Crews & Rhyno v. Baron Corbin
Rhyno and Apollo Crews could do big things together. This might be exactly what Crews needs to get over with the fans. The WWE Universe loves Rhyno, so Crews will gain momentum from association. Baron Corbin actually held his own in the first five minutes. It was when fatigue set in that the two on one difference really made a difference. The match ended when Rhyno Gore’d Corbin, and Apollo Crews followed up with a moonsault for the 1-2-3. Corbin is only hurting himself by alienating the entire locker room. He has zero momentum heading into his match with Rhyno at Fully Loaded. Crews and Rhyno are victorious via pinfall at 8:23 **¾

AJ Styles is complaining to DB & Shano Mac. He wants Cena fined and banned. Shane denies the request, and tells him when you mess with the bull sometimes you get the horns. If you want redemption, beat him at Fully Loaded. Styles stomps off completely flustered. Shane just gives DB a shoulder shrug.

VaudeVillians v. Breezango (Non Title Match)
Vaudevillians finally had their winning streak come to an end when they challenged American Alpha last week. It was a damn good match. You definitely get the feeling that they plan on being a pillar in the tag division. This week they face the current champions in a non title match. American Alpha joins the commentators. This was another good effort on the part of the VaudeVillians, but once again they came up short. Say what you want about Breezango, but they damn sure know how to win. Breezango got the pin after Tyler Breeze wacked SImon Gotch with a Beauty Shot. After the match, Breezango grabbed the mic and started talking **** to American Alpha. AA doesnt talk they walk. They entered the ring and when Fandango took a swing all hell broke loose. In the end, Jordan hit Fandango with an olympic slam, and then they double teamed Breeze by using the Grand Amplitude. American Alpha looks pretty good heading in to Fully Loaded. If i were the champions, id be a little worried. The win goes to Breezango via pinfall at 10:43 ***½

TJ Perkins & Brian Kendrick v. Akira Towza & Tony Nese
Finally some cruiserweight action. They are some of the best in ring workes, but for some reason theyve had almost no push on Smackdown. All this signed talent is just sitting their collecting checks. I truley hope Smackdown utilizes the division more in the future. The match itself was pretty slick. It was very fast paced and fluid. Akiras team won when Perkins went for the tag and Brian Kendrick pulled his hand away. This left Perkins vulnerable to a rolling german suplex for the three count. Towza and Nese pick up the win via pinfall at 9:54 ***¾

Titantron shows Maryse and The Miz interrupting Daniel Bryan and Shane. Maryse tells them that her husband isnt feeling good, and cant fight tonight. Bryan wasnt to be fooled however, and told Maryse thats too bad because he has a match tonight. As a matter of fact, its the next match on the card. And since you keep telling Dean Ambrose his title means nothing, we figured it would be good for you to prove that to him….tonight. Miz finally breaks his silence to call Bryan a scumbag. They storm off similar to how Styles did an hour earlier

(c) The Miz v. © Dean Ambrose (Non Title Match)
This was a pretty good back n forth. Ambrose landed a Knee Trembler, but Maryse distracted the ref during the pin attempt. Later in the match The Miz hit Ambrose with a Skull Crushing Finale. Ambrose kicked out at two and three fourths. The crowd went nuts. Dean was able to fight back tho, and would eventually turn the tide in his favor. Right before it looked like Ambrose was setting up a Dirty Deeds, Miz rolled out of the ring. He even left Maryse when he started heading to the back. Ambrose chased him down tho, and delivered a Dirty Deeds on the ramp. Match ends in a double count out ***½

Cameras cut to Renee Young interviewing Dolph Ziggler. She ask him what his gameplan is to beat Orton. Ziggler praises Orton, and says he completely respects his ability. He plans on using his speed and angles to grab the advantage. Something if the most dense fan is skeptical about him pulling it off.

Randy Orton v. Dolph Ziggler
This match was great. The Viper did control the majority of the match. Ziggler was able to use his speed at times which would throw off Orton. The match ended with a pretty cool spot. Ziggler went for a Zig Zag but on the way down Orton turned it into an RKO. Orton wins via pinfall at 14:19 ***¾

SMACKDOWN SHEETS

Stock Talk
Randy Orton UP--He has a date with World Champion Dean Ambrose this sunday. Orton removed all doubts tonight as he picked up a clean win over Ziggler. Ziggler is a former champion himself. So beating him is quite the feat. Can Orton RKO his way to becoming a champion? Dont miss Fully Loaded.
Akira Towza UP--Ever since Akira signed with the WWE he has been on a roll. Immediately positioning himself as the number one contender at Fully Loaded. Is Akira the chose one who is suppose to carry the cruiserweight to greater heights? Hes extremely diverse and has plenty of charisma. Im a fan for sure.
Breezango UP--Theyre the current champions, and they just picked up a win over the newly revived VaudeVillians. They got whooped when they confronted American Alpha, but they also just got done having a tough match. Breezango is set to defend their titles against American Alpha at Fully Loaded. This card is shaping up pretty nice.
Baron Corbin DOWN--He truly is the Lone Wolf. This Baron against the world mentality might end up being his downfall. Tonight he told Heather Slater (who was scheduled to be his partner) that he didnt need him. He went on to get beat pretty handily by Rhyno and Apollo Crews. He has a chance to turn things around when he faces Rhyno one on one at Fullyt Loaded.
VaudeVillians--These guys were just on a tremendous roll. However, the last two weeks have been rough for the throwback grapplers, On the bright side, they did look good in both matches. They desperately need to prove that they can beat a top team. They beat the Usos, but that hardly means the much in 2016. VaudeVillians are not scheduled to fight at Fully Loaded. These last two weeks are probably what cost them a spot.
The Miz DOWN--He looked like a coward tonight. First he tried to get out of competing with some bogus fever story. Then he tried to walk out on his match with Ambrose. Ambrose caught him and delivered a Dirty Deeds for his troubles. Ambrose needs to retain his title at Fully Loaded to keep himself a top star.

Rumor Mill
Theres been an awful lot of talk about a trade between Raw and Smackdown. We can only speculate at this point in time, but several sources have alluded to it being a blockbuster trade. My guess would be main eventer(s) for main eventer(s). In other news, Ranallo was on The Fighter and The Kid, and hinted at possibly hosting anothert Cruiser Weight Classic. I think that would be HUGE for the cruisers, who at this juncture are barely relevant at all. With limited spots, we dont get to see a lot of the cruisers on the roster. Keep your fingers crossed for another CWC. Incase you missed Smackdown this week, The Miz was in a match with World Champion Dean Ambrose. That is until Miz decided he was done and just left the ring. Hes almost guaranteed to get fined. If Smackdown didnt need him for Fully Loaded, he’d probably be suspended.

Fight Of The Night
Dolph Ziggler v. Randy Orton. The Viper looked awesome to start things off. He matched Zigglers agility and foot work. Orton was able to cut off the ring, and was constantly putting pressure on Ziggler. Ziggler was able to put some offense together, even hitting Orton with a Fameasser. He also was able to sink in a deep rear naked choke. Orton got back in the lead when he hit Ziggler with his DDT through the middle rope. The match finally concluded when Dolph went for a Zig Zag, but Orton was able to reverse it into an RKO in mid air! Very solid main event.

Overall Show Grade
C+
Not a bad go home show. I was really looking forward to Swagger v. Styles, but Cena completely ruined that. The Corbin Rhyno/Apollo handicap match was way too one sided to be entertaining. What was he thinking? Its okay to run around solo, you just need to handle it more like Orton who is very cerebral. The two tag matches were pretty good, and the last two matches rocked. Ziggler took his L like a man, while The Miz headed to the back while the match was still going on. That definitely had an impact on the quality. The Main Event essentially saved the card. It was a great match between two of Smackdowns top stars. Both of them could even be champions sunday.

Smackdown was good. Good build up with all of your rivalries.

Not sure about American Alpha post match stuff as it doesnt seem like something they would do.

That makes more sense. I totally missed that part. Just saw they attacked them after being at ringside so I was wondering, thanks for the clarification.

By Dylan Novacek

New WWE GM, Canyon Ceman (pictured below), has already made a huge impact on the brand. It was a little over three weeks ago Ceman added judges and a scoring system to every match. The Club and The Dudleyz will forever go down in history for their part in the first match to go to a decision.

He held a press conference earlier today, and announced something that will change the wrestling landscape from now until forever. After Raws Payback PPV this month, how shows are booked will be completely different. From now on PPV matches will be based on rankings. And to keep the PPV matches fresh, every Raw and Smackdown will be full of matches v. local talents and NXT guys. A lot of shows you may not even see certain stars because theyll be given permission to continue training for their upcoming PPV match.

While Ceman does expect to take an initial hit on his weekly shows. He feels this will eventually change the sport in a very positive way. He wants to go back to the days when Pay Per Views meant something. Raw and Smackdown shows will mainly be used for talent development, and for fighters to move up in the rankings. The main event will usually be a pretty competitive match. It seems like Ceman is dead set on turning the WWE into the UFC. I’m sceptical, but at least its something, and something is way better than the nothing we have now.
