March 3, 2017- The Nets come into town with a 7-52 record. Brook Lopez is the team’s leading scorer, but he is out for the year with a fractured leg that he suffered back in December. Spencer Dinwiddie will also miss the game with a torn meniscus. As for the Jazz they will get Joe Ingles back tonight. This should be a game that the Jazz can win and start a win streak into the end of the season.
The Jazz won 86-82 by another clutch game by Gordon Hayward. He hit the game winning three pointer with :30 seconds remaining in the game to give them a two point lead. Rodney Hood had another great performance as he led the team with 16 points. Along with him was Exum with 15 points, and Hayward finished with 14 points and the player of the game. Burks came off the bench and added 12 points.
The Nets played very well. They were able to hold the Jazz to just 12 points in the second quarter. Sean Kilpatrick led the team with 20 points. Jeremy Lin was two assists away from a double-double as he finished with 14 points and 8 assists. This game was one of the better games as of late for the Nets but it really shows how much they are missing Lopez.
Up next for the Jazz is a trip out to Sacramento as they will play a team that is last place in the west.
