OVERVIEW
2020 was a crossroads moment for the sport of auto racing as two giants announced their retirement from the sport: Formula 1 and NASCAR. F1 was decimated by the huge driver and team boycott that saw Ferrari, Chevrolet-Chaparral, Toro Rosso, Red Bull, Force India, Sauber, and Renault boycott the paddock immediately after the scandal involving Max Verstappen. Haas F1 joined the boycott the following year. that left only 4 teams on the paddock: SRT, Mercedes, McLaren, and Williams. The situation became so bad that F1 announced a lockout for the 2021 season.
Meanwhile, NASCAR struggled to find sponsors during the 2nd American Civil War and announced they would close its doors in 2021 after it was revealed that Brian France was plotting against the Libertine States of America soldiers.
As for the WRA season, It almost ended prematurely for Josh Drake as he narrowly escaped arrest after the Bank of Montreal 300 for misgendering a transgender person (what has this world come to...)
Ryan Newman was also being phased in as Alex Builden's engineer, marking yet another NASCAR driver jumping ship to the WRA.
The rest of the season saw Anderson Williams score two upsets, Jordie Taylor earn an upset after Travis Pastrana cut a tire on the last turn of the Cermaq 350, Phil Keating nearly win in his first-ever WRA start, and Ian McCabe suffer a violent tumble at Monza to end the race under caution.
In the end, it was Drake who captured his 4th WRA Drivers' Championship with 2 races to spare. Teammate Shaqir Hassan finished in 2nd place in the standings despite leading only 12 laps compared to 3rd place Phil Keating's 110 and Drake's 600. At one point, Hassan led the points for 5 straight weeks without leading a single lap the entire season.

OVERVIEW
It was a turning of the tide for humanity as the Libertine States of America were winning the Second American Civil War against the United States of America. The LSA then dropped a bombshell by announcing that it was going to shut down Fiat-Chrysler due to repeated EPA violations if they won the war. This meant that the Dodge team in the WRA faced almost certain disbandment at the end of the year. The rookie class for 2021 included Eleuterio De Rossi and Richard Wakeman, while Anderson Williams finally got his deserved big break at Koenigsegg, replacing the retired Giuseppe Pellegrino.
The championship was once again won by Josh Drake by 392 points, with Almer Rolfsen sneaking in a 2nd-place finish past Jeremy Mayfield and Travis Pastrana. Memorable moments include Brian Vickers coming back from blood clots to win at Korea, Johan Isaksson upsetting at Twin Ring Motegi, and Patrick Devaille's miraculous championship run which saw him finish 8th.
As for the war, the LSA went on to win miraculously, Which meant Fiat-Chrysler was done for in the WRA.
