Re: 2018 FIFA WORLD CUP - CPU VS CPU

Writing these reports was fun in the first few games, but it started to become a real chore now. The fact the thread doesn't have many visits and had no interaction from outsiders also made me feel like my time was being wasted. So I decided I'll just be like EA and do everything in the laziest possible way, haha.

I'm still playing the tournament and I'll still post the results, with some facts and stats here and there. At least one or two weirdos like me might be interested in what happens in this tournament, since those simulations the game run when we pick a single team are just a bunch of simple scripts that have nothing to do with the teams really using the engine to play the game against themselves.

Starting at the Russia-Egypt game, half lenght was reduced to 12 minutes for the remainder of the tournament.

Re: 2018 FIFA WORLD CUP - CPU VS CPU

Two curiosities about the Iran-Spain game:

1. As far as I remember, this is the first time I see a goalkeeper being sent off in my 29 years of soccer video games.

2. Shot count was Iran 11-7 Spain. Go figure...
