Re: 2018 FIFA WORLD CUP - CPU VS CPU

Festival of 3-0's at the Round of 16.

Toni Kroos scores the fastest and most beautiful goal of the World Cup with a long range shot that clipped the crossbar before going in only 1min42sec into the game, opening the path for a solid German win against Serbia. Germany keep their incredible record of being in the top 8 of every tournament since 1954 - this is 17 World Cups, WTF!

England also beat Colombia comfortably, for the disappointment of South American fans, and once again we will have a decisive England-Germany match in a World Cup.

03/07/2018

17:00 - Saint Petersburg Stadium
Germany 3-0 Serbia
Kroos 2', Werner 79', Müller 84'

21:00 - Spartak Stadium
Colombia 0-3 England
Walker 21', Kane 36', Rashford 55'

No big surprises in the round of 16, with the exception of Spain being beaten by the hosts. Seven of the eight teams qualified to the quarter-finals come from Europe, with Brazil being the only outsiders.

Re: 2018 FIFA WORLD CUP - CPU VS CPU

Oh my God, they did it!

Playing toe-to-toe and after a second half as thrilling as it gets, Russia beat France and are into the World Cup semi-finals! Two Russian goals in quick sucession, Giroud wasting the penalty that could turn the game around and Russia at one point in the game having a humiliating 3-goal lead. This was history, lads. Fedor Smolov and Alexey Miranchuk are the new national heroes.

QUARTER-FINALS - MATCH 1
06/07/2018, 17:00 - Nizhny Novgorod Stadium

Russia 3-1 France
Goals: Smolov 54' 70', Miranchuk 58' (RUS), Giroud 75' (FRA)
Missed penalty: Giroud 63' (FRA) - saved by Akinfeev

This is the first time Russia get to the semi-finals since the end of the Soviet Union (first time they advance beyond the group stage, actually). As USSR, they only did it once, at England 1966, finishing in the 4th place.

Brazil put an end to Belgium's dreams with a great victory and are still on the run for their 6th title and to kill 2014's ghosts. What a semi-final we'll have, the 2018 hosts with all the crowd to support them against the biggest champions of all time!

QUARTER-FINALS - MATCH 2
06/07/2018, 21:00 - Kazan Arena

Brazil 4-1 Belgium
G. Jesus 18' 77', R. Augusto 25', Paulinho 57' (BRA), Hazard 50' (BEL)
