Spurs Escape With 3 Points

Tottenham came away with a lucky 1-0 win at Huddersfield on Saturday. Spurs were definitely not the better side for a majority of the day, but Harry Kane gave Tottenham a goal (his first of the season) to help Spurs gain all three points. "We did not play well today, so it is lucky we won," Pochettino said after the match. "It is a sign of a good team, a resilient team, to be able to win a game on a day when we did not play our best," he continued. Tottenham will need to be much better on Wednesday when they play host to Barcelona.

"Complete Disaster"

Tottenham Hotspur were embarrassed in front of their home crowd on Wednesday night by Barcelona, losing 4-1. Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez led the way for Barcelona, providing two goals each. After a dismal performance on Saturday at Huddersfield many people were not surprised with tonight's result. The loss means that Tottenham's next Champions League match against PSV is a must win.

Back To Winning Ways

Tottenham got back on track with a 3-1 win over Cardiff just before the international break. Spurs will have 14 players reporting for international duty, and they will resume Premier League play on October 20th at West Ham.

Tottenham picked up another 3 points on Saturday with a 2-1 win over West Ham. Spurs got on the board early when Dele Alli headed home a cross from Christian Eriksen (video below).

Crucial Win For Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur won their must win match on Wednesday, defeating PSV 2-1 in Eindhoven. PSV opened the scoring in the 29th minute when Pererio scored. PSV controlled most of the game until Harry Kane equalized in the 60th minute. The match opened up and was pretty back and forth from there. Hugo Lloris made plenty of saves to keep Tottenham in the match. It looked like the match was headed for a draw when Son got in behind the PSV defense and knocked his shot in off the post to give Spurs the win. "This was a crucial win for us. We had to win if we want to move to the knockout stage," said Pochettino after the match. Spurs aren't in the clear yet, however. Their next match with Inter might as well be a must win as well, but Tottenham seems to be getting better with every match.
