New Growth Forest - Nottingham Forest's Return to Glory | Presented by BigJDotCom01

    Forest_Logo

As some of you know, I have been a FIFA guy for years, but this year's game is just so bad that I went and picked up PES 2021. I love all of the stadiums and the presentation of FIA, but PES just seems to play a ton better. So, I have deceided to start up a franchise with Nottingham Forest of the Sky Bet Championship with the goal of bringing the club back to its glory days and a return to the Premier League and eventually European competition.

Nottingham Forest has not been in the Premier League since 1999 after a run of great success in the late 1970's and early 1980's that saw them win back-to-back European Cups.

We will begin on Regular level of difficulty but may move up to Professional if I deem it necessary.

If you have followed any of my dynasties they are basically just meat and potatoes recaps that help to keep me invested in the club. So just sit back and I hope that you enjoy.

        2020-21 Preseason Roster

        FORMATION: 4-2-3-1

This is the preseason roster for Nottingham Forest. Manager Mister Ninja likes to attack through the midfield and will try to shape this side into a 4-2-3-1 side as we move forward. I am no expert on football formations, but I enjoy using this one.

The youth academy is always an important part of the long term development of any club and that is no different here at Nottingham Forest. Here is a look at our current youth academy.

West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire, England (AP) - The much anticipated managerial debut of Mister Ninja did not go as expected, but Nottingham Forest did manage to salvage a point in a nil-nil draw against lightweight Barnsley. Despite controlling play for the majority of the match, Forest was unable to find a way to a goal in the scoreless draw.

Nottingham Forest outshot Barnsley 6-1 but Barnsley had three on target including one in the 90th minute that should have put them in front. Conor Chaplin got behind the Forest defense and was in alone on Brice Samba, but somehow Samba was able to get his right arm on Chaplin's shot to deflect it wide. Moments later Aapo Halme headed one just over the bar for Barnsley.

Nottingham Forest had a couple of good chances too. In the 34th minute, Sammy Ameobi got from on the right side and hit shot rolled just wide of the left post. In the 48th minute Guerrero hit the woodwork, and in the 80th minute Joe Lolley was stopped at point blank range by Brad Collins.

Aapo Halme earned Man of the Match honors for Barnsley.

Up next for Nottingham Forest is a trip to High Wycombe to take on another Championship featherweight in the Wycombe Wanderers next Saturday.

High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England (AP) - Nottingham Forest avoided a second straight scoreless draw with some late match heroics as Lyle Taylor scored in injury time to send Forest to a 1-nil victory over the Wycombe Wanders at Adams Park on Saturday afternoon.

This one was another match played mainly in the midfield with few true scoring chances. Nottingham Forest outshot Wycombe 7-4 but just five of those shots were on target. Forest held a possession advantage but it meant little until Taylor's late match heroics.

Forest had a chance late in the first half to take the lead but a Joe Lolley shot sailed over the bar at the whistle to end the opening half.

Wycombe's best scoring chance came late also. Scott Kashket got behind the back line of Forest in the 81st minute, but his shot was deflected just wide by Brice Samba.

Lyle Taylor picked up Man of the Match honors for scoring the match winning goal. Brice Samba made two saves as he picked up his second straight clean sheet to open the campaign.

Nottingham Forest (1-1-0, 4 pts) returns to action in two weeks for the first round of the Emirates FA Cup when they will host Rotherham United.

Manchester, England (AP) - Nottingham Forest opened Emirates FA Cup play with a decisive 2-nil defeat of Rotherham United at Old Trafford on Saturday evening. An early penalty converted by Joe Lolley put Nottingham Forest ahead and they would keep their third consecutive clean sheet, earning a spot in the second round in mid-October.

Wes Harding pulled down Guerrero in the box in the 10th minute for an easy call. That set up Joe Lolley to convert on teh spot kick to give Nottingham Forest the early lead. They would dominate the opening half, but only went to the locker room up 1-nil. Their best chance to add to the lead came in the 32nd minute when Sammy Ameobi got behind the Rotherham defense, but he sent a shot high and wide.

Early in the second half, Forest would double it's lead on a nifty play from Luke Freeman. He dribbled up the left side and sent in a cross to Guerrero. He trapped it on his first touch and then tapped it over keeper Jamal Blackman to make it 2-nil.

Both teams would have some decent chances late but Forest kept the clean sheet and will move on to the second round. Guerrero was the Man of the Match with the goal on his only shot of the night. Nottingham Forest outshot Rotherham United 8-6 and held a huge advantage in possession, 61-39%.

The Tricky Trees will return to Championship play next Saturday as they will host Middlesbrough at City Ground.
