I can't seem to get my settings for hitting to go where I press down on the right thumb stick and that sets up my stride. This new way already sets up the leg kick. Can anyone help me out?

Re: Pure analog...
I just finished my first game with directional pure analog, and I don't think it's going to be for me over the long haul.
It seems to be a fine hitting mechanic, and I'm sure many will come to enjoy it, but I'm still left scratching my head as to why they didn't leave the old pure analog method in the game.
It just feels too much like the timing and zone hitting methods that are already in the game. If you go with pure analog and timing it's exactly the same as what was already offered in the game with last year's button timing... Just with a stick flick instead of a button press. And if you go with directional pure analog, you may as well just be using the zone hitting that has already been in the game forever. The only difference being that exciting flick of the right stick, and a different take on zone aiming.
So ultimately we're left with a pure analog system that offers a nearly identical experience to the zone and timing mechanics that were already in the game, except now we don't an alternative to that style of hitting that offers us anything close to the alternative we had in last year's pure analog hitting.
I'm sure I'll settle into something that works for me, but I'm even more confused about this change after trying it out for myself. Now, more than everComment

Re: Pure analog...
I have used pure analog hitting every year since it was introduced. I am so hurt that they have ruined it. There really is no longer a point to using pure analog without the back step. It is the same as button timing. Any chance they would consider fixing this with a patch?Comment

I doubt it. When it was confirmed that Pure Analog as we knew it was removed, there was a big thread about it and we asked if there was any chance of this happening, Ramone was pretty clear that they feel this is an improvement and have no plans of putting the old way back in regardless of how we all feel about it.Comment

Re: Pure analog...
Let me ask you slider guys something...
Since drawing back on the stick now makes an automatic power swing, does it make any sense if we, say, lowered the power sliders slightly and increased the contact sliders slightly to counteract with the effects of choosing power swing? So now we can use our "stride" even though we're not actually controlling the stride, at least we can continue using the up/down motion to get our rhythm how we like it, without the negative effects of making every swing a power swing.
Does that make sense to anyone else?Comment

Re: Pure analog...
Ya it does different things depending if you are using zone or directional hitting in conjunction with Analog. If you go into the options the game does a pretty good job of explaining what does what if you highlight the option. Also go into the game controls menu it breaks everything dowN2016 NLL Champion Saskatchewan Rush

Re: Pure analog...
...So pullg back o the stick, which use to be the stepping motion, now does a power swing? So if I just flick the stick up, that's a normal swing? is this correct?Comment

Re: Pure analog...
I believe so.
And pushing the stick left or right is a contact swing intended for fouling off pitches more or less.Comment
