Dallas
Nick Folk- 0 of 1, (I also blocked an extra point somehow...)

Punting

Dallas

Mat McBriar - 8 ATT/ 323 YDS/ 40.3 AVG/ 0 I20/ 1 TB

Kick Return (just averaged all returns for each team)

New York - 2 ATT/ 28.5 AVG

Dallas - 4 ATT/25.8 AVG

Punt Return (same as KR)

New York - 5 ATT/ 15.8 AVG

Dallas - 5 ATT/ 10.6 AVG (1 fumble, returned for a TD which was my other TD.)

As I said this was an awesome game, the turnovers I got were bad throws by the Dallas QB, one where Kitna threw it right to Revis in the endzone and then a fumble on Marion Barber when Jim Leonhard crushed him causing him to cough up the rock. Strickland also forced the fumble on the punt return which he recovered and walked into the endzone to put me up by 11 with 1:40 left in the game. I got consistent pressure on Romo which I feel was accurate for the Jets defense and Ware was just nasty for Dallas. Every time I dropped back I had to recognize where Ware was and several times it caused me to throw before I was ready as well as scramble and get rid of the ball. I got lucky on a few throws that Sanchez sailed on, 2 could have been picked off. 1 Watkins dropped and the other Newman deflected it out of bounds. Saw several tipped passes for both defenses so there was consistent pressure in the pocket. O-Line seemed to maintain a nice pocket and there were several dropped passes (2 wide open passes to Dustin Keller one where he could have walked in for 6 which is pretty realistic). Cant wait to try another game to enjoy these sliders more, A++ work!

valdarez,

What do you think is an adequate adjustment that will make the human running game slightly easier, without it getting crazily easy. I like the toughness of it as its almost "spot on" but it might be a tad "too" tough....i cant seem to get any headway with marion barber, in the middle or off tackle...(especially off tackle) and i was playing the chiefs at the time......

Oh and im gettin' a little torched by mediocre qb's also......luckily i havent played an elite qb yet but its comin'....any suggestions?

Keep in mind that in most games, HB's usually get 0 to 4 yards, with an occasional long run. You won't get the long run in every game, and in some games you'll get more than one. What are the carries / Yards / YPC for barber that you are seeing? Can you keep track / list a couple of your games (please list the team you are playing against as well).

I plan on providing ways to make it easier / harder to run / pass (offense & defense) for the sliders once I get the base set finalized. May take a bit more, as I play test quite a bit before I post anything.

Browns(me) 37 Titans 31

Passing
TEN Vince Young 28/42 326yds 2TD added 4-45 on the ground
CLE Brday Quinn 10/14 134yds 1TD
CLE Derek Anderson 3/5 60yds 1INT

Rushing
TEN Chris Johnson 15-97 6.4avg 1TD
CLE Jerome Harrison 25-159 6.3avg 3TD

Receiving
TEN Bo Scaife 7-99 14.1avg
TEN Kenny Britt 5-69 13.8avg 2TD
CLE Mohamed Massaqoui 9-138 15.3avg
CLE Chansi Stuckey 2-19 9.5avg

Defense
TEN Stephen Tulloch 6 solo
CLE David Bowens 6 solo

I started out with a 21 to 0 lead and then Brady Quinn got hurt late in the 2nd quarter. Derek Anderson then threw a pick on his first pass. I am not having the problem running the football like everyone else. The defense for the Browns was good in the 1st half but some big plays and Vince throwing to Scaife more killed me in the 2nd half. Titans were able to pull one sack and the Browns had 6 (4 from Kenyon Coleman). The Browns got a lot of pressure on Young the whole game. The Titans had a chance at the end and got the ball down to the 14 but a stupid play call to throw like a 5 yard pass to Hawkins was dropped as he was being hit. It was evident this would be the last play and I understand that the Titans were out of time outs but that play call was TERRIBLE. I am still using ask madden and picking from the 6 plays he gives me.

This is exactly why I limit my self to the Legend Challenge now, because I realized the play calling on the other side of the ball by the CPU was utterly horrid, especially in key situations when the game was on the line.

JayD, ive been using your fatigue and auto subs my last two games and Josh Cribbs has disappeared in both of them. He disappeared in the 4th quarter both games.

I just played a game as the Vikings and Harvin was returning both kickoffs and punts, was my 2nd receiver and he didnt disappear at all with fatigue at 68 and subs for WR at 60/80. I was playing Cleveland and they had to punt 8 times. So im not sure on what to think about it.

Valdarez, I had to bump up human run blocking 5 and lower cpu shed block 5 because i am just having to much trouble hitting holes and with the rushing game overall. Other than that I am enjoying them. My last game i did end up having 4 sacks and i threw 3 picks but i'll play a few more games and see if those numbers vary from game to game. I also may bump up wr catch and interceptions for the human, saw to many dropped balls by both my receivers and secondary.

I'm gonna give these a try. I'll have some data in a few days probably, but these look really good so far...you seem very knowledgeable and dedicated. Thanks a lot for all the work.

These sliders are interesting. I have blowouts with good teams (like with the Cowboys i'll beat teams 30-3) and then it'll be nearly impossible to score or stop scoring with bad teams (i'll lose 35-10 with the Rams).

Tonight I took a foray into the world of 70-75 QBs, and it was an ugly, ugly world. I know Madden has not had disparity between the QB's in years gone past, but they way they went about it in Madden 10 defies logic. The entire passing mechanism for the QBs with the S/M/D throws is fundamentally unsound. I can't imagine what a sub 70 QB would be like as I was utterly frustrated with the 70-75 ones tonight. I don't see how anyone at EA Sports though the new passing mechanism was a good idea with regards to how it provides disparity between the QBs or in it's overall function.
