not seeing a lot of threads about MUT this year. Hows everyones teams doing? Any stud players that don't have a good rating. Mine is WR Burton for sure. The guy is gold. Also, why is the min bid 500 in the auction block? Not liking that at all

Re: Ultimate Team
Messed around with it last night. It's EXPENSIVE this year. Maybe too expensive for me. I'm hoping the auction block will settle down in a few weeks. Guys are spending too many coins on cards right now.ALL THINGS DALLAS

Re: Ultimate Team
I played 1 UT head to head game and got 1,100 coins out of it. The final score was 63-54. We both had over 500 yards of total offense.
I noticed this year there many more ways to gain coins compared to last year. You could get them through ranked online games, HTH UT games, and collection sets. Thats probably why they increased the prices, plus the 20,000 coins they gave to people who pre-ordered from gamestop.Comment

Re: Ultimate Team
I am not liking the prices, I think its a bit inflated for a few reasons:
1. EA wants consumers to purchase coins.
2. Normal "its new" inflation by the gamers starving for coins.
I have only played three games all vs the CPU and am a bit concerned how in the hell I am going to renew contracts for the core guys and still try and upgrade my team with the prices the way they are and try to complete sets for coins....
Maybe the answer is buying all gold packs and hoping for the best??
I dont know but some insight would be nice.Comment

Buy bronze packs and auction off the coach, stadium, and playbook cards you don't want. People will buy them to complete their "collections."Comment

Re: Ultimate Team
i have started 16 head to head games and have only got to finish 5(3-2). its not like my team is a powerhouse either they are rated a 63. it seems like as soon as i get up 14 points they quit. very annoying
also having to use all my contract cards on my secondary. hard to upgrade when i have to keep signing the same 3 corners because they are all i haveLast edited by jaycee83; 08-16-2010, 01:49 PM.Comment

Re: Ultimate Team
I'm still new to all of this. I only have one played game under my belt. I learned a lot from that game though. Firstly, I needed a good QB, or at least one who is less bad. I have other hobbies that cost money, so I didn't feel so bad when I spent $5 on a pack of coins to try and invest in my team. I ended up getting one Gold Pack, two silver packs and a bunch of bronze packs to help fill out my team. I sent a lot of the run off cards like stadiums and uniforms and coaches that I didn't want to my auction block. that has made me a lot of coins back. Coins that I used to buy one more gold, silver and bronze pack with last night along with an auction for Matt Leinart. I don't use mobile QBs, so his lack of mobility doesn't bother me, while he has really nice short and medium accuracy. Not a bad pick up, imo for around 3,500 coins or so.
So, moving forward I have a full team of silvers with some backups being bronze and a gold QB. My team is a 71 OVR right now. I also would take a number of my over flow players from my bronze packs and threw them away for coins. No one is going to bid 500 coins on a bronze player, and most won't on a lot of silver players.
I guess you get around 1000 coins for playing head to head or playing an All-Madden difficulty game against the computer. I don't know how the contract cards work out, but I get the impression that if you buy a bunch of bronze packs you can load up on contract cards to replenish your team. Just an idea anyway. I'll see how that works out.Comment

Re: Ultimate Team
Im just playing on all pro and last night made 1200 and some change just playing 5 min quarters vs. the CPU. granted I had a really good game but typically avg. around 1000 per. Tried the buy bronze and sell the trash, not going to work, although I did finish off my AFC coaches and got that 25k for it which is a life saver, I am going to spend some of that on contracts and some of it on finishing off the NFC coaches without spending the whole 25k I just got on finishing off them..Comment
