Mets are working to finish a trade of closer Jeurys Familia. Oakland among the team with interest; Cubs not involved.

Do the A's need a starter? I wonder if they'll kick the tires on Happ.

I kind of want to see them come totally out of nowhere and make the playoffs.

As being like my 3rd team, lol, would love to see them go after DeGrom or Thor. Dont think Barreto or Mateo would need to be involved either

Mets and A's are going over medical info for Familia.

Deal will probably get done today.

EDIT: Deal is done. Two prospects and international money to Queens, Familia to Oakland.

Nice to see Oakland making a go of it. Now, they have a few guys they can pitch confidently in the 8th or 9th inning (Treinen, Familia, Trivino, Buchter).

Those A's fans sure are a rowdy bunch in the playoffs. Would be fun to see that again. Loved the whole Balfour Rage thing a few years ago.
