Gotta wonder what TJ Watt has to do to actually move up lol. Dude produces every year and gets no love.

Seeing a few Eagles rated a lot higher than I expected here too... TJ Edwards and Kyzir White are just depth players. Giving them 79 OVRs seems very generous.

Wow some Lavonte David love finally? Only took 9 years and Tom Brady coming to town to get recognized lol. Devin White is not a top 10 LB in my opinion. He has all the physical tools to be great but still makes too many mental mistakes.

Good to see TFG still has a hate fetish for Darius Leonard lol. Gives him 64 zone coverage which is worse than some special teams edge rushers. Make it make sense

Move his position to DE instead of OLB. His pass rushing ratings are as good as Myles but his coverage hurts his overall as a LB.

Same with Henry not being a 99. His pass catching won’t allow his overall to get that high.

Overall is overrated anyway, look at individual ratings.

As a packer fan I feel that White is the best MLB in NFL history. Dude was everywhere in both games we played the Bucs two years ago.

Overall is always going to be important to a lot of fans of certain teams and players because of bragging rights.

Again noticing, similar to the wide receivers and tight ends, that lower OVR players are being allowed to have extremely high ratings in one category.

Eagles linebackers Kyzir White (ROLB, OVR 79) and T.J. Edwards (MLB, OVR 79) possess 93 and 95 Tackling, respectively.

I’m curious as to how many such one-skill specialists are littered across the default roster. This could make the stock teams feel more different and the game as a whole more interesting to play.

This makes sense in concert with the Specialist draft class template being added this year where players can have a 99 in a rating but not be a high OVR player.

I hate to say it, but Von Miller is overrated in madden. A 92? No. 92 block shedding? Teams can put a single tackle on him now. To think Von Miller is rated higher than Joey Bosa. Joey Bosa still causes major problems by himself. I love Von, but these days he's good for a play or two a game. Beyond that, he's nullified the rest of the game.

Bradley Chubb a 78 OVR. Yep. His lack of production over the last several years has caught up. He's no longer rated based on his potential. Dude needs to actually play and stay healthy. An 86 Injury rating might be too high for him.

                          Miller (837 snaps): 50 tackles, 9.5 sacks, 19 TFLs, 17 QB hits
                          J. Bosa (848 snaps): 51 tackles, 10.5 sacks, 5 TFLs, 20 QB hits

Now Bosa did force 7 fumbles which stands out, but Von was much more impactful in the run game considering he tackled ball carriers in the backfield almost 4x more often than Bosa did even with 11 less snaps. To say Von is nullified each game minus one play doesn’t stand up to scrutiny. Miller also had a higher pass rush win rate and slightly edged out Bosa in run stop win rate in 2021.

Interesting. This is something I've said I'd like to see EA moves towards before. Hardly in the NFL are players just all around good at everything they do. Madden has always overrated many players to get their overalls up making parts of their game much stronger than it should otherwise be.

The average player in the NFL has clear weaknesses. The good players have less. The greats have even less. The GOATs basically have none.

The average Madden player is typically a jack of all trades. Hopefully this specialist type of player is where they continue to head and combined with the new specialists in the draft class it makes both players and teams feel more varied and it leads to the truly great players feeling special when they can nearly do it all.

His production effectively doubled when he was traded to the Rams. Small wonder: he played opposite of Aaron Donald where he faced single tackle assignments (as I mentioned earlier).

Look, I love Von Miller. And I get that he's a Bill now. But he isn't the force he once was.
