Why is there even a simulation mode?
"Simulation includes authentic NFL rules and gameplay." That was from a google search which shows what "simulation" is meant to be like in Madden. Why have we not seen this yet? Why do we have separate game styles if you only adjust the game for competitive or arcade? Weren't the different game styles added so you can adjust each? What's the point?

Re: Why is there even a simulation mode?
Could you be more specific in your complaint? The game style settings absolutely do function and they do change the way the game plays. Relative to the other gameplay settings, player ratings matter more in Simulation and dice-roll penalties can happen.

Agreed. They went through the trouble of creating 3 separate modes, but then don’t put any effort into making the simulation mode a simulation of real NFL football. Field goals are an example. These days, teams miss XPs every once in a while because they’re longer than before. In Madden, teams make 100% of XPs.

Exactly on penalties!
They matter so much to the game of football, and the lack of madden penalties is the reason it’s rare to see defensive slugfest. Penalties are drive killers, they should be drive killers, and they should be in this game! |

Read the impressions thread before posting things like this. There are penalties that happen and are happening.
