I am 52, this is the greatest ending to any Madden game I've ever played!

I am a Cowboys fan who has been playing Madden since it came out. Last night my friend pointed out that I had never played against the Cowboys. I am not sure if i have (don't think so) and so I took the Ravens against my own team. This is on XSX btw

First of all I'd be remiss if I didn't include this happening to me:

Then this is how the game ends....I was just...WOW WOW WOW

Players actually catching tipped passes this year could make for some pretty crazy hail mary endings.

I actually had a game where I went down and scored with a few seconds left, squibbed the kick and the clock had 1 second on it. The other team threw a hail mary and I got a defensive PI called against me and they kicked the FG and beat me. It was actually pretty cool to see.

It really makes it far more exciting to play when you know there's a small chance it could happen, of course none of us want tons of Hail Mary's to work but so far I think I've completed 3 in about 85 hours and only 1 was a TD, this one.

The game is just amazing this year..

The best ending I ever had to a game was in the SB. 49ers vs Bengals, I think. We were up 30-28. Bengals got into FG range with about five seconds to go. Maybe a thirty-five yarder.

I resigned myself to the loss.

They snapped the ball only for Deforest Buckner to break thru the OL to block it. He literally caught it off the foot of the kicker, recovering it himself.

Buckner retired that offseason with his last play of football being one of the greatest things he could have hoped for. He went into the HOF a few years later.

I like to think he never let go of that ball and talk it home with him, where it sits on the mantle.

The gameplay really has some new dynamics to it that make it fun. The presentation thought. Yuk! After that Hail Mary completion we should be seeing player running onto the field jumping up and down and tackling each other in elation! What do we get....the same old typical cut scenes of the coaches and no real feeling that there was an amazing ending.

In MLB the show they have special sequences for a walk off hit or home run that at least shows the team mates are excited about the win. Here....nada. Just saying.

On that note....what sliders are you using ODogg?

tipped passes are caught at a HIGH rate this year, not good IMO

There was zero emotion on the field after that dramatic finish. The players reactions were no where near the reaction of the commentators. Its those things that cause me to not really stay immersed in the game.

Love that for you. I'm 50/50 on those. Have had them happen In 22 and 21 before but moreso against me to help the cpu win games at the last second. Also got a few dpis with no time left then a stop(W) or score for loss. It's cool but I hate it more than love it since it rarely ends in my favor. I'm usually the team up.

My issue isn’t that tipped passes are caught at a high rate, balls that get tipped up generally do if someone is around to catch it. The problem lies that too many tipped passes get tipped in an unrealistic way. Most passes that get tipped go towards the ground. Madden has always had a history of making tipped passes go way to far up in the air and hang there for way too long.

In my 40s. Played Madden in the late 80s & early 90s.

People bitch about Madden or games in general or about the price but in the end, it comes down to whether the price point gives me value for money.

I have rarely, if ever, felt Madden at $60 or 70 has not given me hours worth of fun. Compared to movies or streaming, it is not even close.

There have been years I've waited for the price to drop because I have a franchise from a previous year that was still fun.

But in the end, I tell my nephews: video games are about having fun. If you are enjoying something and no one is being hurt, then you should just sit back, relax and have as much fun as you can.

Agreed. Give how much EA claims they want to make the game feel realistic, there is not much emotion on the screen. I had a punt return go for 70 yards before being pulled down on the 4. The commentary barely acknowledged it.

I don't really care but I suspect many do.
