Whats up everyone! This is a new career series I'm starting with the Philadelphia Eagles. I expect this two last at the very least 7 or 8 seasons. It is a 32-man CFM operating on Madden 23. Its a very strict sim league with a BUNCH of house rules and very in depth off-season! I've also decided to break down many of the in game stuff via youtube.
System- Xbox XS
Game Mode- Simulation
At the bottom of the page the rules will be listed if you are interested in checking them out. They are very in-depth haha!
Rules:
Play Like You See It On Sundays!
No intentionally exploiting the AI.
No Nano Blitzing
NO PA on 3rd and Long (7+ yards)
RPOs and screens are allowed
NO Swerving, Waiting to throw slants (slants are a 3 step drop concept), etc.
Players must ALWAYS rush at least 3 defenders. No exceptions.
You may not snap the ball and instantly roll out. There must be pressure or a player about to break free of a block to be able to roll out. If you suspect your opponent of doing so, you MUST record it and submit to @League Office
The “Guess Run” Or “Run Middle” Mechanic is BANNED in all situations.
Mix up your play-calling (We have play limits and Play Cool Downs to assist you.)
No Quick Snapping! Wait til the QB has been set for 3-5 seconds.
Only One Hot Route Per Play, and not on every play. Limit manually motioning players on defense. (SMART ROUTES DO NOT COUNT AS HOT ROUTES)
Punt Blocking is allowed throughout the game
You may USER the FG blocker
COACHING SUGGESTIONS ARE BANNED FOR PRIMARY PLAY CALLING.
NO PLAYMAKER!
Offense
Again Quick Snapping is not allowed. We like to say, “wait for the QB to go through his cadence”.
If you manually motion a player, you MUST WAIT for that player to be set before you snap the ball.
Allow the defense to get set after you make your own adjustments.
Hurry up/No huddle offense should be used in specific situations. Due to the game only taking 10-15 seconds off per hurry up play, we encourage you to do this only in the last 2 minutes of each half.
You must wait a minimum of 5 seconds after your team gets back to the LOS to snap the ball. This is due to the fact that the game can run off anywhere from 4 seconds-11 seconds off the play clock. . . even if it is 40+ yards downfield.
Breaking the Huddle with less than 10 seconds
You still must wait for the QB to be set and for the defense to adjust. If you are running out of time, take a timeout or the delay of game penalty. Your opponent shouldn’t be punished on a big play because you didn’t get your play call in on time.
Chew clock is only allowed in the final 4 minutes of EACH half, unless your opponent concedes the game by agreeing to speed up the remainder of the game.
4th Down
In the past 5 years we have seen analytics play a part in the game, especially on 4th down. Please be smart on when to and when to not punt the ball. If your opponent addresses that\you are abusing this and the admin agrees, you will be fined.
Stat Checks and Spreading the Ball
We are trying to play like we see it in the NFL, not college football. We will not see someone throw 60 times while running 8 times.
Stat Checks will be conducted in weeks 8 and 16 of the regular season.
Target more than one or two routes/players all game.
Hot Routes
You are allowed to have ONE hot route on offense before the ball is snapped
Blocking a TE, HB, FB does NOT count as a hot route
Smart Routes do NOT count as a hot route
Max Protect does NOT count as a hot route
Remember, making too many adjustments pre snap can result in a false start.
Making adjustments prior to every snap could be subject to fine as well.
Hot routes should not be on every play.
Play Action Rule
Play action is NOT allowed within the following circumstances:
Past the 2-minute warning for either half unless you have 2 timeouts
3rd & 3 or more.
You may NOT call a play action play and change the HB to a route or block either during these circumstances.
QB Awareness Chart
Users must follow this chart while playing their games.
Users must show their playart immediately after the huddle break and before snapping the ball to show any adjustments that may have been made.
