    49ers McCaffrey Trade

    He is quite welcome

    What I am wondering is there a way on my Madden23 existing franchise to move him to my Niners? As I recall many years ago Madden you could propose trade and force it, I only am seeing proposing a trade, and oddly McCaffrey does not even show on the Panthers roster. ?


    I think there used to be a way to search for a player also, back in the olden days.


    I know any roster updates will show the trade, but this is an existing franchise, week 6

          Can kickers and punters be traded? Im probably wrong but I was remembering kickers and punters couldnt be traded?

              Just create a coach for the niners. Propose the trade from them to the panthers, you may also need to create a coach for them that’s what I did and it worked

                  Probably a roster-minimum thing, where you can’t trade for a P because it would leave them with no punter? But in this case they’d have two. It should work.

                      You can trade for punters and kickers even if it takes their last one—at least that is the case if you go to settings and put the minimum roster as non-existent. If the trade is being disallowed, it’s probably related to the contract. Delete all bonus money for starters, because the 49ers won’t be paying that anyway.

                      The player’s dev trait may be playing a role too.


                      Lastly, edits to a player do NOT immediately register when it comes to trades. You either need to cut a player first to update the game’s rosters, or skip a week—BUT BE ADVISED: if the player’s overall is too low and you skip a week, you run the risk of him being completely deleted from the franchise mode game. So make sure he’s around 70 ovr if you mess with his ratings or position. That is, if you make him a punter, edit his kicking stats to be higher.

                          I tested it in my franchise and was able to edit him to a punter and then trade for him. The bonus money stays with the Panthers.

                          I'll probably trade for him for real in the offseason.
