Does Konami still have the rights to the WBC? And did Konami make a video game with WBC included the lasttime they played the WBC?

they were a sponsor for WBC back in 2013 but no game that i remember. 2K had the license back in 2006, the last time an official video game version of the WBC was released. it's time for it to come back and the show needs to make it happen. they definitely need something to create a buzz for the next release.

Yeah, and that would be their “main upgrade” this year.

Pro Yakyuu Spirits 6 is the last game to include the WBC that I'm aware of. In 2013, MLB became the primary partner, which means the rights would have to be re-issued. Prior to 2013, the IBAF was the primary sponsor and sold the rights to Konami.
