Shot timing woes
Hey guys so I really want to give shot timing a chance again. But it seems from playing in the park really mess up my timing with the shot meter. I would shoot and the shot meter will go up real quick then back down. Even when i get it to the top it still doesnt go in. The other option to shoot is real fg but i just dont know if i want to give the cpu control. But any tips on shot timing and what is everything thoughts with shooting now especially those that come from the park and dealing with the online lagTags: None -
Re: Shot timing woes
Turn the shot meter off, and instead focus on the player's arms & wrists at the release. I find it mimics "playing basketball" moreso than "filling up a meter" does. Also, I've seen some here say that meter-less does provide a slightly larger green window. -
Re: Shot timing woes
I will say, I do have a hell of time shooting with players with low releases, specifically small guards -- it's frustrating. Far too often I am releasing way late or way early. I've had to alter shooting forms (signatures) for a few players (BJ Armstrong, Mike Bibby) already.Comment

Re: Shot timing woes
I turn shot meter off and it’s funny in 2k19 I had meter off and I love it but since then I can’t shoot with the meter off I follow their hand and it just bricks. When do u release itComment

Re: Shot timing woes
Not sure how to describe in words, but if you think of a waiter carrying a platter at shoulder level ... I try to release when the ball is sitting in the palm of the hand:

That said, I have my struggles as well. But I've also intentionally made it challenging with sliders -- shot timing, coverage impact, CPU defense gather/release, User shooting success -- to get some realistic stats. If I get myself & the CPU to shoot around 43% - 48% for the game, that's fair & ideal for me.Last edited by iLLWiLL; 01-04-2023, 03:52 PM.Comment
