    EA UFC 5 Beta email

The EA playtest website sent this out via email yesterday afternoon. You have to be signed up for the playtest website, then fill out the MMA playtest for a chance to be invited.

Odd. Could have sworn I got codes through other ways the last few times. Trying to sign up now but I probably missed the boat

I got "Oops! Sorry. We are experiencing higher than expected website activity."

Except it's been like this for weeks...

Really awaiting the announcement of the game so - if it's on PC - I can finally discard that console.

          It’s probably closed then.

Heads up, on the EA Playtest website they have another sign-up period that's asking questions related to MMA.

I don't see anything MMA related.

If you go through one of the available sign-ups they ask you questions. It may be only for people who signed up previously

So I'm wondering if anyone has received the survey? Previously, the UFC 4 survey was leaked, and now it seems that those documents about alien costumes were correct. Can we expect to see similar document leaks again? Or maybe someone has already received the BETA game testing? Because we haven't received any updates so far, and we're eager for some news.

Haven't noticed anything. No active beta signups currently. Obviously ppl in the beta cannot comment on the contents of it, but I'm pretty sure you can communicate that you are in it and it started.

Based on official EA communication, it is estimated the game will be released in the 2nd fiscal quarter year of next year, so we're looking at april in the earliest. Plenty of time to ask for more input. The source doesn't literaly name UFC, but it should be obvious it's this game it refers to. Not 100% certain though.

April next year? That's way too much , my guess is it releases this summer (maybe August once again) or October worst case.

Yes, you can reflect on how UFC 4 was initially announced and take a look back at the EA FY20 report. Timing is often ahead of the reports, and it's possible that UFC, being a private company, doesn't disclose specific UFC information in their reports.

I'd say no chance. There's always a 3 month period for hyping/marketing, so september would be the earliest. It looks like they don't have a single title planned for the Q4 of FY24 (which is januari to march '24 for some reason) so normally UFC should fill that gap. There's a major UFC event in the beginning of july, so that could be where you announce it initially, and we're indeed looking at an october release.

That being said, I think the long hype dates are a thing of the past. You can perfectly hype a game in one month's time. Overdoing it might even cause people to lose interest, which will damage your release more. All they need to do is show off some footage in UFC event commercials and that should be enough to garner the interest of UFC viewers.

But I see I misinterpreted it as the document doesn't list the game. So it will release before march '24. That doesn't give us much info.

3 month hyping & marketing? UFC 4 was teased/first announced july 7th , full reveal was on july 11th and the full game release was aug 14th. UFC 4 released a month and a week after the very first teaser.
