( played on XBOX SERIES X) WWE2k23 with only 1hr in is definitely better than WwE 2k22. Graphics top notch lighting (ray tracing adds a lot) so far no clipping through the bodies or championship belts clipping through clothing, muscle tone and longer a match goes on you see sweat. 60FPS is so much smoother than last year.. loading screens are faster.. Arena’s are fantastic, crowds Pop and are alive.. played on Hard level default sliders right out the box seem real good( can’t wait till someone deep dive in the sliders) if you like 22 and a WWE FAN and on the fence trust me- This game won’t disappoint

Quick question. Does the AI pin after sigs still?

I really hate seeing Goldberg going for the pin after a spear instead of setting up (wake up taunt > finisher) for a jackhammer (like he would do in real life) thanks.

Just a heads up, the game doesn’t have RT, it’s just screen space reflections

        Thank you for impressions tho!

Ray Tracing. New-ish lighting tech showing up in many games (often at a big performance cost).

Hopefully, we'll get "true" Ray Tracing once they go current-gen exculsive and ditch last-gen altogether. That might not be for another year or two with the larger install base still being on last-gen.

And the tech they are currently using for 2K23 is doing a solid job of "faking" the look of Ray Tracing (at least on the stage area) without the performance cost.

                Re: wwe 2k23 impressions

VERY limited play, but so far...I'm loving it.

Nothing too extreme changed from last year, but also enough to notice it is a new game.

The game is more challenging this year I would say, the AI is actually pretty solid. I'm excited to play with individual wrestlers sliders, and for in-game sliders to be up and working.

This will definitely be another 300+ hour WWE game for me this year!

                  I haven't played a WWE game on PS5 before.

How is the game for someone who views things like proper ring gear, entrance music and all that as important? I guess these games don't let you use custom music? Not even for CAWs?

So I guess even trying to have old school or new talent CAWs won't be as fun without their music being able to be added in?

On PC you can mod in real music fairly easily.

Neither NBA or WWE 2K games have officially (PC can be modded for it, as mentioned) had custom music since jumping to PS4/XB1 almost ten years ago. It's unfortunately time to let that memory die.

NBA I can live with since I never used it much anyways (it never worked well on PS3 with all the bugs).

NHL surprisingly I haven't missed it as much, the in game presentation is good enough where I haven't missed it much (though I do hate not having goal songs).

MLB I haven't had a game without sounds of the show, but I figure that'll just mean I skip batter walk up's and that's it.

But for wrestling, music is so important. It'll definitely suck not having it. I guess for any Caws, might as well just skip entrances when doing matches then.

I'm on the fence about getting 2k23 now or waiting until after NHL/NBA seasons are done so I can dive into WWE/MLB, although I'm mainly just tempted to get WWE so I can play before WM.

We all love what we love but I would say don't let that stop you from getting into a game. I would imagine you (we) only watch entrances a few times before we skip them anyway. I would say not to let that get in your way.
                            Concrete evidence/videos please

I mean I'm not gonna care about watching an entrance from Liv Morgan or Rousey or Viking Raiders or anyone like that, but isn't someone like Zayn already outdated (music wise)?

Most of the gameplay is gonna be actual matches and not watching entrances or having post match cut scene with the music playing, so I guess it won't matter as much. But even for CAWs not having the custom music will suck too. Guess it's just something I have to adjust to for this generation of games.
