Which, to be fair, given how (as the author notes) the press release doesn’t mention “NFT” or “Web3”, it sounds like they do feel at least a little bad lol.Comment

I don't get it. It's a yearly release. So presumably they become worthless after a year which is antithetical to the point of stuff like this. Or so I thought. They will actively lose value after a year unless it carries over year to year.

The answer, of course, is money to EA Sports. Once you buy this garbage, they don't care that's it's worthless.
Not a good sign that this is the first news to come out about this game; but I'm not surprised at all.
I can't believe Moody hasn't commented on this yet. He's gonna have a complete meltdown, like Angry Joe did. Seek that out on youtube if you haven't seen that yet.Comment
