i have both ps4 and ps5 madden the ps4 severs are fine while the ps5 is down

my quirk impressions

menu interface is better this year more cleaner

the menu screen are the same for both ps4 and ps5

if u like madden 23 on the ps4 u will like it in 24

The one cool thing I witness: 14 seconds left in the half with no timeouts & the cpu actually threw a pass into the end zone instead of a 4 yard over the middle pass to be tackled & the clock runs out for halftime. The pass was incomplete, so with a 11 seconds, I 100% thought here comes the field goal unit. But no,the cpu threw it again and amazingly threw it into the endzone again. Can't recall now if touchdown or into. But I know the xp or fg was kicked then. So the cpu actually attempting to score a touchdown there,was quite a surprise and nice addition.

Now my complaint. Dropped Speed, Acceleration, Agility 20 points. Dropped everything to do with throwing accuracy down by 40, awareness, throwing power,short,medium,long,throw on run, and the cpu on default settings still completed 70 and 75 percent throws on All Pro setting and on all madden settings it was 70% & 66% completion percentage. All madden had way to many sacks & all pro had way to many too but not as much.

So dropping all those attribute points basically just harmed the 2 teams when I simulated to get to the same match-up in a different week. Falcons 28-9 winners on all madden week 1 & panthers 16-3 winners in week 13(guessing on the week) on all pro. The winning QB each time had the higher completion percentage. So Ridder 70% on either all pro or all madden. And Bryce 75% on all pro & 66% on all madden.

So the core of the sliders and attributes didn't change from madden 23 to 24,as I expected. But the going for the touchdown at the end of the half definitely was a pleasure to see.

That is a feature not available on last gen. 24 last gen is just a roster update of 23. There are no new additions. No gameplay, franchise additions or superstar mode. If you've played Madden 23 last gen, you've played 24.

Big Positives

Lineman are strait nasty... A LB was back peddling into a zone coverage, the guard launched himself into him like a Goldburg spear knocking the LB on his azz.

All of the new ball carrier animations make running fun again. I like the one where he bounces off a tackle and immediately goes into a spin move.

Stiff arms are varied by ratings. someone with a low rating stiff arm can pull one off, but you can see him struggle and put his whole body into it. Mean while, guys like Chubbs, Henry throws the defender down like light work.

All of the post play activities sure does bring the players to life.

Finally it feels like there is momentum. If a DB whiffs on bat down, his body is taken out of the play and not just stopping on a dime.

I read that and it says that field sense sapien, cross play franchise super star showdown are only on the next gen systems which makes sense since those systems have more capabilities. One thing that you can see on Xbox one is that the player models are smaller and more normal than last year so I assume that there were other improvements as well.


This area of game play improvements listed below is the only section that doesn't say only PS5, XBOX X/S PC which must mean that it applies to XBOX one as well.

Nothing on that site says that Madden 24 on Xbox one is just a roster upgrade. If you find those exact words let me know.

One thing that you can see on Xbox one is that the player models are smaller and more normal than last year so I assume that there were other improvements as well.

It's not. It said the same thing last year too and all it got was the new franchise additions last year. I messed around with the ps4 version a bit on 24 and it's exactly the same. I thought the same thing too last year but gameplay wasn't touched much at all last year. I will say they fixed the models from last year where certain positions had really bad player models. It's back to where it was in 22 last gen.

Game clock and play clock are ridiculously small. Almost miniscule. I like the slightly smaller scoreboard, but even with glasses the game clock and play clock are hard to read. I suppose that will make actually playing less distracting. Currently just watching CPU vs CPU.

I already proved that qb play is exactly the same. Made Ridder and the Panthers rookie Young a 12 overall and they still completed over 66% of their passes. So that is debunked on old gen/xbox one. So at least QB play, that upgrade only for Xbox S/X
