Surprisingly no mention of 81 even though I'm sure it's in there. Interested in seeing how much attention to detail there is here, Jordan Challenge surpassed my expectations in a lot of areas. Aldridge and Roy look like they do today so we'll see

I wouldn't be too sure. That feels like a big one to miss if you're writing an article. I always kind of wondered if those two teams would have enough players available. I didn't play enough of the 2002 era to know the details of who's in and who's not up to this point.

That '06 Raptors team from the night of 81 looked like this:

1. Something Yahoo called a "double-double" performance against Michael Jordan (maybe they meant "double-nickel" performance in reference to his 55-point game against MJ and the Wizards in 2003.

2. 2001 Conference Semi-finals vs. Spurs: 48 & 16 in Game 4

3. 2003 vs. Sonics: 12-for-16 from three

4. 62 points in three quarters vs. Dallas in '05

5. 65 points vs. Portland in '07

6. Game 5 of 2008 Conference Finals vs. Spurs (39 in clincher)

It'd be kind of odd to cut things at seven, so maybe there's a few more waiting in the shadows, perhaps including 81.

Pretty sure the first 5 are still in the game, but anyway it’d be crazy lazy / irresponsible of 2K to plan a Mamba Moments mode and not even secure the rights for a few extra dudes for 81. I think it’s in. Also I would expect Kobe’s final game to be in.

Ah good call on the final game. Maybe they just wanted to keep a few of the moments close to their chest.

Kind of disappointed if these are ALL they have to offer. Feels very mid compared to the Jordan Challenge. You absolutely do not do this mode without the 81 point performance. That’s by far and away the most iconic “Mamba Moment” ever…Then you have his 60 point final game. His 61 in the Garden. His game winner vs Phoenix in ‘06. All-Star MVP performance in Philly ‘02. Etc etc. How about one duel vs LeBron or McGrady?

Mannnn! Ima wait for the official drop before I get too disappointed. Appreciate the addition of B-Roy tho.

Either one of those and I'd be happy.

Another thing......They REALLY need to work on the jersey fit for retro teams in the late 90's/2000's era Uni's were baggy as hell back in the day.

Not painted on to players like they're wearing their wives jerseys, like the weird modern day fit.

Come on y'all, there's no way in the world they would do this mode and not have the 81 point game. Every Kobe vid of his greatest moments, that is always number 1. Hell, if 62 in 3 qtrs is in (happened almost 2 months before 81), that's definitely in. The Jordan Challenge has also had challenges with teams that don't feature more than like 6 guys so thats not an excuse.

I also wouldn't be surprised if this article is missing a number of them. That Kobe vs Jordan game that says "double-double" when I'm sure they actually meant "double-nickel" is another reason I believe this. I'd wait for them to drop the official Courtside Report and vid later.

Yep, after thinking about it a bit, and after vetmin mentioned Kobe's last game missing as well, I'd probably hedge my bets and say 2K has a few left performances they're keep under wraps, for now.
