Is it true EA pushes Gameplay changes mult times per week?
I was reading in one of the threads here that the reason slider makers have to constantly change their settings is because EA pushes out gameplay changes multiple times per week without announcing them.

Highly doubt it. There is a lot of unverified information floating around. -

There’s a lot of weird ‘Madden Myths’ on here, but that one is just kind of funny and totally absurd. In order to always be pushing out secret gameplay changes multiple times a week, it’d pretty much have to be random with no reason to it, because there’d be no time to test anything or gather feedback/data from set of changes to set of changes.I was reading in one of the threads here that the reason slider makers have to constantly change their settings is because EA pushes out gameplay changes multiple times per week without announcing them.

I haven’t seen any slider makers on here constantly changing their sets. Usually they evaluate and make adjustments from patch to patch, or small tweaks over time between patches if they find an area they could improve.Comment

I don't know how it would be possible to tweak things weekly.
With each update? THAT I would believe, and it seems to be pretty well documented through all the complaints we see.
.. and look at the guy that won the Madden Bowl with a Punter at QB. That wouldn't be possible if gameplay was a revolving door. Exploits like that are only possible with a consistent, predictable environment.Last edited by Madden08PCgmr; 10-20-2023, 04:26 PM.You want free speech?

Multiple times per week? Is that what you were reading? Really?

Re: Is it true EA pushes Gameplay changes mult times per week?
Well, you do change your settings almost daily..and your explanation 9 times out of 10 is "EA changed something".
Glad that others confirmed what I suspected..they don't change the game daily..or weekly. Their changes are pushed with scheduled, documented updates. Thanks guys!Comment

I never said daily or weekly, so you are spreading nonsense, but knock yourself out.

Re: Is it true EA pushes Gameplay changes mult times per week?
Maybe not, but when you post daily updates and your explanation is "something changed" or "EA made a change" we can only draw one conclusion...you believe EA changes the game on the fly frequently (pick your number) which is causing you to change your sliders.
You have to admit, your previous year's sliders were in constant change mode for just about the entire release cycle. I think what you fail to take into account is that games will vary based on the randomness built in, rosters used, momentum on or off, player ratings, playbooks used, play calls used based on down and distance, and other factors. EA has been weak up to now in getting the CPU correct and for it to choose the right plays for many situations. This can cause gameplay to be unbalanced and unrealistic. It's a huge input into why people think the CPU sliders are at fault.
It's certainly not because EA changes the game as frequently as you imply. But you do you and I'll do me.Last edited by sportsgamingguy2023; 10-21-2023, 06:08 AM.Comment

I have not failed to realize anything you mentioned lol
I will continue to make changes as needed, daily, weekly, or monthly no matter what the reason based on the game stats and what I'm seeing
I will not stop.
If no changes are needed, I won't make any.
The adjustments work in keeping the stats line when the game does change and it always has and that's not based on just Watching 2 or 3 games, but a week's worth.
I will do that; been doing it since Madden 08 without complaints, I will admit that.
No Slider changes yesterday.
Sorry if what I say or what I'm doing bothers you
I don't get that many complaints and really don't care.Madden Xbox and PC 25 (CPU vs CPU), Footbal Mogul 25 (CPU vs CPU), Front Office Football 9 (CPU vs CPU), NBA 2K23 (CPU vs CPU), and several Military and 4X PC simulations.Comment

I have no doubt you will continue to chase perfection. Problem is, it's unreachable. In addition, there have been many complaints and feedback about your sliders. Problem is, you shut people down, ridicule them, and tell them to get out of your thread. It's your way or the highway. Hey, you can act anyway you like, just don't think that no feedback means many folks love or even respect what you do.I have not failed to realize anything you mentioned lol

Not banned and back. Just a long time lurker who decided to finally sign up.
Your 20 years of experience have taught you little. You have little to no idea on how the inner workings of the game function based on your single digit changes multiple times per week for slider values. QBACC from 7-8?? Stuff like that. You just don't get it.
Respected slider makers here understand how silly your approach is, and yes I've talked to a few. But no one wants to engage you in your thread because of your bullying of other posters who question or disagree with your findings. That's the sad truth. You can choose to believe it or not.
I've made my points and got the answer to my initial question for this thread. I would love to move on. I hope you feel the same way.Comment
