Latest NHL-game without the "speed glitch"

    Hi,

I wonder, what is the last EA NHL game without the "speed glitch" or "Berserk mode" or whatever it should be called. I'm strictly an offline player playing with my own slider set, and it's just so annoying when the game speed and feel changes in the middle of the game. I have played all of the versions 19-24 and they all suffer from it more or less, but how about 16 or 17 or 18? The highly praised 14 is not an option because it wont work with Xbox series X, or will it.

And by the way, after playing 24 since its release, I tested 19 first time in a few years, and was shocked, how much better the gameplay feels compared to any of the frostbite engine-games (besides the issues with the speed glitch....)

    Thanks in advance!

I play NHL 20 religiously (best on-ice gameplay of the entire series imo with the right sliders) and I’ve found a way to make the speed glitch not happen.

What I do is I play a game, go back and save the current slider set as a new (or overwrite the next set you have) then cycle through all slider sets till you get back to the one you just either created or overwrote, then exit the app and restart the game.

If you never play more than one game without doing this method, I’ve seen this foolproof mitigate the dreaded speed glitch that NHL refuses to address.

    Hope this helps!

Hi, many thanks for your advice! I've used your method for a few days now, and so far it has been a 100% success. And I totally share your opinion about the NHL 20. I bought it a few weeks ago, after I replaced my Xbox S with X. The offline gameplay with my own slider slider settings is way better than 22, 23 or especially 24 can provide. Thanks again!
