Ohtani in franchise 24

Since ohtani is unable to pitch this year how do you get the cpu from not putting him in rotation or relief? I am unable to remove two way status or remove pitcher from being his first position that he plays?

You can do this with 30 team control

Set CPU lineups/rotations to manual, then move Ohtani to SU2

Not 100% sure bcuz I use the Dodgers but if you put him as the everyday DH and put him in the bullpen then he won't be used as a pitcher.

Just make sure he's not in the starting rotation.

Might be wrong here and please correct me if so.

This is what I did. He had 0 innings pitched through 30 games in my franchise.

There is an issue with this strategy:

Dodgers then count Ohtani as a pitcher position wise and forces them to carry one less pitcher than they would actually carry. You're going to see those long relief pitchers accumulate so many innings in simulation that you're better off just "pretending" Ohtani didn't tear his elbow up. It's idiotic to see 80 appearances and 100+ innings from bullpen guys.

Ohtani doesn't count against the pitcher total number because he has 2-way status. So the Dodgers can carry 13 other pitchers.
