Salute to EA. NCAA IS BACK--Good vibes thread

I want to start off by saying im loving the game despite its shortcomings rn. Its been far too long without a college game and this def fills the void. I know there are alot of things needed, even things i myself would like as well....cpu vs cpu etc.

I love the custom conference feature making it into game one of the reboot ,as well as the cfbp and nil. From gameplay to stadium atmosphere to recruiting options, im good rn. I am not overlooking the elephant in the room either. There are alot of things needing to be added and/or improved upon as this series cranks back up. Ppl may feel different about this but i had to ground myself an remember this is still EA. As far as immersion, EA has scratched the surface but hasnt come close to the likes of 2k or the show, from when they revamped their career/franchise modes. With these lowered expectations, i am really really enjoying my experience.

I do hope that everyone gets a semblance of what they really want or have become accustomed too in previous ncaa titles. The game will continue to improve but again.....reel in those expectations and just reach out to devs, create wishlists, or do whatever it is to bring attention to your wants an needs for patches etc.

All in all, what else are you fellow gamers enjoying about the game. Keep it positive as almost every other thread has a debate about the negative.

I can definitely get behind this thread! Bottom line for me, this is my favorite game series hands down. I've missed it, and am so glad is back. It still feels surreal to be playing it after 11 years. This is my son's first college game and he's jumped in head first in Road To Glory. He chose the Tar Heels by the way. I'm raising him right lol. It's not perfect by any stretch and some things definitely need to be addressed. But, I'm having a blast and haven't even come close to exploring all there is to with this game. Just been playing Play Now because the gameplay is so fun. Thanks for starting this thread, and hopefully people read the title of it and post accordingly, or stay away from it entirely if they don't have good vibes.

big NFL/Madden fan but never paid much attention to the earlier games or college football to begin with. I wait til the mock drafts in the begining of the year to learn about the upcoming players. Not this year! I'm only two games into a dynasty and am really enjoying it. I played a few "half" games to work on some sliders and feel a groove for the game. Yes, it plays a little different than Madden but I like the change. It sounds great, looks great and is opening up a whole new side of a sport that I love. Looking forward to following along to more college this year untop of still anticipating Madden and the NFL season.

Same for my son. He isnt really big into sports like i am, but want him to find a team in his own to enjoy if not my gators. The atmosphere has me stuck rn. Im not updated on the accuracy of all the fight songs and chants for different down an distances etc, but i absolutely love it. Honestly playing on the road is more fun to me than playing at home. Seeing other teams intros and hype is dope. Even losing feels fine when u hear the crowd rocking for the home team lol.

I'm absolutely ecstatic i'm playing actual college football video game and not making a custom playbook to run an option like college offense in Madden. The well documented shortcomings aren't a bother to me at the moment. (I'm glad I can edit equipment. If I'm allowed to edit more come "official" release great)

Right now i'm just happy I can play a Rutgers dynasty and claw and climb my way to the top of the big ten.

Can’t wait until Friday. Definitely want to get into dynasty and build up my coach to a program builder, but maybe I’ll go with CEO? I think the coaching tree will turn out to be a very underrated part of the game. Might have to use some house rules and force a few wins, but I will enjoy the game no doubt either way.

Its def worth it if u love college football. Wayyy more immersive than madden with the recruiting an portal and gameplay atmosphere. As long as u can get over the setbacks till they get patched or fixed, i dont see how u can not enjoy the game.

It's FUN! It's immersive and I'm just having lots of fun playing it.

There's so much replay value. So many teams and playbooks i want to try. I think it looks and sounds great and i love the way the game feels.

It's even better than I was hoping.

I played Georgia vs Ohio State play now to see what difficult I should use and got Annihilated on all American default. Changed a few sliders and boom. Started a Texas dynasty and narrowly beat Michigan ( they would have beat me if it hadn’t been for Origi ) and blew out Colorado state in the first game. Almost feel it could be perfect settings for me already. Don’t think I’ll beat Bama in a few weeks time but I’ll try. Perfect !

LOL...raising him right! On a serious note, I'm so thrilled about this game. This year's edition is my favorite sports game ever. It has everything I wanted...including a beautiful, playable broadcast camera. I still can't believe it's back!!!!!

                      Damn you EA

This game is so good, I'm thinking its going to keep me from watching real ball this fall. I already know MLB The Show is going into storage. No idea when I'll want to play baseball again

Definitely going to have multiple tv’s and maybe even tablets open trying to watch sports and play video games in the fall. Sundays will be tough because I won’t miss a Raiders game and I might not want to squeeze a dynasty/franchise game in before the actual real game.

I know I will definitely get the baseball itch again sometime this year/winter. I think mlb the show 24 is a great game as well so running a franchise in that along with a dynasty and franchise is going to be hard.

I’m just so excited to play CFB25 though. I get the complaints and I will try and have the most realistic experience I can.. But at some point I’m creating my coach and just going. EA spent a lot of time on the coaching trees and we won’t be able to have everything.. I fully expect my name to be with the Saban’s and Bowden’s after 30 years. I’m not worrying about the race of my recruits or the graphics. The cpu is dealing with the same people I am. The cpu looks like it will put up a challenge this year which will make it all the more fun. Let’s play ball!

Agreed. I understand that everyone has different preferences, but I'm in awe of this game. Maybe it's the 11-year layoff but man....this game has feeling like a kid again.

This game has its share of flaws and missing features but I’m so happy to have college football. I’m sure at some point (maybe next year) we’ll get things like mass subs back. I personally really love the gameplay and graphics. Yeah the dynasty menus kind of make it feel empty at first but I’ve gotten used to it and accepted it’s better than nothing.
