Re: Best Stadiums
I created my alma mater (Georgetown College, an NAIA school in Kentucky) and found Sam Houston State's stadium to be a pretty good stand-in. It's tiny and doesn't have a lot of visible branding (I just noticed the name of the stadium on the scoreboard), so it's a good one to use if you're trying to replicate a small college stadium.Comment

Re: Best Stadiums
Yeah I was at least expecting like the generic limited choices similar to what Madden had but more college-ish.
Anyway, I'm interested in the best ones as well. Looking for a classic bowl shape with a large capacity (~80k or higher).Comment

Re: Best Stadiums
UCLA isn't too, too bad. A few smaller UCLA brandings - the pads on the goalposts is the most egregious IMO. But a decent larger bowl option.
Count me in the 'shocked' crowd that they didn't provide at least two generic options like they have in the past. I'm missing the old bowl stadium - it did the job.
No entrance is also kinda crazy. Start it a little later, like when the team is already on the field using a generic animation. I genuinely thought the entrances would be a few generic options to choose from, or something that was tied to the stadium you chose.
Kinda shocked there's no endzone text option, and the secondary logo on the field option is a weird one also... like why not have a logo upload there? Strange.Comment

Re: Best Stadiums
whats strange is that the one team stadium that was generic(Hawai'i) doesn't look like is in the list on teambuilder.Comment

Re: Best Stadiums
Wait a second. So we can only use existing stadiums but we can edit how the field looks only to leave all original team branding in the stadium? Goal post pads are going to keep OG team colors and such?
This makes absolutely no sense. Why can't we build our own stadiums?
I thought Miami of Ohio would be a great stadium to use but the goal post pads are red and I'm sure have wording or logos.Comment

Re: Best Stadiums
Yeah it's boneheaded. They put all their effort into making a wonderful jersey/pants/logo suite but forgot about unique helmet designs like Michigan and actual stadiums to play in. Couldn't they at least go through each stadium and scrub out all the team-specific stuff with just a solid color that matches the background? For example Marshall's press box is white with green letters that says "Marshall University." Just take some editing software and white out the text so it's just a plain surface.Wait a second. Re: Best Stadiums
Umass isn't too bad if you have a small school.
I agree that this was a bonehead move on EA's part and it's such a simple fix!
6 Generics is all that are needed, IMO
Domed(edit out Syracuse imaging in carrier dome-simple)
Bowl Stadium like the Rose Bowl
Small School stadium like UMASS
Standard Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City
Large Southern Stadium like Williams-Brice
Big House like MichiganEA Sports ID = Yngwie_Swain

Re: Best Stadiums
I'd add a high school / small college stadium with a school bus and academic building in the background, and a small dome like the Kibbie Dome in Idaho or the Fargo Dome for North Dakota State.Umass isn't too bad if you have a small school.
