Will Players Declare Early for the Draft?

Or do they always stick around until their senior year?

      It's weird though.

I had a QB with this career:
Freshmen (RS) - Heisman finalist, undefeated regular season, lost first round in playoffs

Sophomore - Best QB award, national champion

Junior - Heisman, Best QB, national champion

And he returned for a senior year! I don't get in what world someone with that career would come back for a senior year. Then I got projected 6th round guards trying to leave early lol.

I'm interested in knowing if he had any pro potential interest when you recruited him.

Maybe there's a link (in-game) between a player caring about pro potential and actually going pro ASAP.

A guy leaving is entirely dependent on his overall rating

Dozens of guys fit that mold. If his size and ratings weren’t good it doesn’t matter how big the numbers are.

Even Tebow entered paper work his junior year to see where his draft stock was. He was on the fence. I would consider that to be a player you should have to persuade, but has low stock and is easy to convince to comeback. 14 had the same problem.

I wish more on the fence type guys would declare, especially from the power programs, and put more pressure on you to persuade more than just the few that do, that seem to be random. I just had a similar issue that AMP had. I was number 1 start to finish and won a national title. Junior 6'4" 220lb Heisman winning QB with really nice throwing attributes and 30+ career starts would not declare no matter what. I had to keep reloading saves to get anybody to declare on a roster that should've had 6-10 guys declaring early, and then it should be on me on whether its worth it to use persuade attempts for them come back or not. The most I could get to declare early was 2, and never the QB in about 15 tries.

It could also be his size. In the previous release a 6'1" or shorter QB would never declare early and a 6'4" or taller would declare as a Jr as long as their overall rating was good enough. I have not had enough experience with this game to know if that height bias is still in the game.
