Still not able to change jobs after auto renewal of the contract. Was hoping it would be fixed with the title update. They said you’d be able to in the deep dive.

Agreed. I think a simple fix would be to move the auto renewal to week 1 of the last year of your contract instead of the last.

Its insane how many Things are bugged in this Game. They should concentrade that fundamental things proberly working. Up****** Uniforms and Stadiums is nice, but Not Main concern.

Just to clarify, since there are two threads on the first page talking about this, it’s only in the year that your contract is extended that you aren’t offered other jobs?

So I coach 3 years at Temple, get auto renewal and no other offers, but then after the 4th season I get offers again?

Or is the big that once you sign a renewal you never get another offer?

It depends on length of extension! If you get 1 year extensions as a coordinator you could theoretically get stuck at a program forever. But if you get a 3 or 5 year contract you are only stuck the year they hold your feet out of the 3rd story window and force you to sign their contract.

From the other thread I was under the impression that your extension was only 1 year, meaning you’d forever be stuck at your current school.

Can you verify that HCs can get multi year extensions? If so, I could be forced to deal with staying at my current school 1 year longer, but if not I think I’d either have to not continue my dynasty, or always jump ship the year before my contract expires (which I really don’t wanna do as I’d like to build a school up first before bolting).

You do get multi year extensions and can leave anytime as long as it isn't in the year it is renewed.

Yes. You have to leave year before or after extension. Knowing your contract length is imperative.

Whew! I just tested this as well with an old dynasty file and can confirm.

I was in my 2nd year of a 3 year contract. Simmed to the end of year 3, and hit the bug with 0 offers for any of the 4 bowl weeks.

Had contract renewed and it was a 5 year contract. Simmed to the end of my 4th season (1st year of new contract) and got new offers.

So, as long as we don’t get 1 year extensions, the stoopid bug will “only” delay our offers for 1 year. But, if we do get 1 year offers, it’ll ruin the entire dynasty unless your content staying forever.

This isn't completely related but something I recently learned.

This also may be common sense to some or well known but I decided to pass on the Nebraska job in my Dynasty because I advanced past the first round in the playoffs. I didn't know that even if I accepted that job I could continue on into the playoffs with my current team. Just something work keeping in mind.

I didn't know about this Carousel Issue. It's definitely a big one because I'm in Year 3 at my current stop now and that may impact my decision to stay or go at some point.

Also, when you're a coordinator and you're being passed over and not even in the running for the HC position when the HC leaves seems like that needs fixing. I became an A prestige Coordinator and had no idea the HC left TWICE and wasn't even offered the job. This was at the University of Buffalo, so it's not like it was some huge school.

Anyone else run into this?

Yes, seems you can’t be promoted to HC at your school. This entire “feature” is one of the more disappointing aspects of any game I’ve played in 30+ years. I looked forward to ncaa 14 coaching carousel, wasn’t perfect but at least fun.

Well, ain't this just great. I am in year 3 of my SDSU dynasty. I am not sure what my contract length was/is. SDSU was my son's pick, and he quit playing. I hate quitting and starting another one. The only reason I would stay at SDSU is for my super speedy freshman QB. After his time, I am wanting to go somewhere else, anywhere else.
