It's been a few years folks!! I haven't did rosters or sliders or even a CFM since 2020. I am back to Madden this year after those years without penalties just killed the immersion for me so I just gave up on Madden until NOW!!
I am a sports gamer on the PlayStation 5. I have been gaming over 40 years playing Atari Football 5 on 5, Tecmo Bowl, Madden, NFL Game-day, NFL Quarterback Club on Nintendo 64, NFL 2K on Dream-cast, baseball titles such as RBI Baseball on Sega, World Series Baseball, All Star Baseball, High Heat Baseball, MVP Baseball, 2K Baseball and now MLB The Show.
I also played a few NBA titles along the way, but quit playing when Hakeem Olajuwon retired. I also play WWE 2k and along the way with that I played other wrestling titles growing up. Not only did I play but I enjoyed doing rosters for Football, Baseball and Basketball.
BEFORE EVEN WORRYING ABOUT SETTINGS/SLIDERS WHAT I PROVIDE NEXT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!
I use to prefer ALL-PRO because to me ratings matter more and you will see better animations, but this year with my setup I am using ALL-MADDEN and it has been phenomenal gameplay.
I setup my profile to ALL-MADDEN, SIMULATION and FAVOR RESOLUTION for performance mode settings.
It makes a huge difference like a few years ago how you setup your MADDEN PROFILE in the beginning.
ROOKIE - Beginner
PRO - Intermediate
ALL PRO - Advanced
ALL MADDEN - Expert
Now onto the sliders. In order for these to work correctly you will need to enter them in exactly how I have them, If you decide to change one thing or several of them they might not work like they do for me and you may not get the same kind of results.
The way sliders work at least on Madden is there grouped like a family and changing one can offset all the other settings. I have thoroughly tested these and they play a great game of football. I know they might not be for everyone because everyone has there own way of playing, calling plays etc.
All I can suggest is to play at least 10 games without changing anything before giving up or asking for adjustments. They do work for HUM vs. CPU, CPU vs. CPU and you can even use them in HUM vs HUM!!
You will need to enter settings in MAIN MENU then when you create your CFM or OFFLINE FRANCHISE go under the options in there and use the correct button to upload (Triangle Button) your settings into your CFM or OFFLINE FRANCHISE.
HOUSE RULES PLAYING THE CPU:
1. When playing against the CPU I do not go into any playbooks and pick plays. I stay in the "Suggested Play"s and it's okay to pick any of the plays there. I do not use any COACHING ADJUSTMENTS at all.
[I have been using suggestion played but choosing Game-plan plays within suggestion plays especially on defense]
2. I usually stay on a DE or DT and I use a NO SWITCH rule staying on one player and let the play, play out.
3. Again, Important don't go into picking your money plays or plays you know might work over and over against the A.I.
4. I also run the ball once I am leading by 21 points (with these sliders this is not very often).
5. I punt on 4th down every time unless I am losing and it is in the 4th quarter.
6. I do not run NO HUDDLES if I am winning period! If I am down before halftime or in the 4th quarter then I will use the NO HUDDLE to try and mount a comeback.
7. I also do not go for 2-point conversions unless I am losing and I wait to do these in the 4th quarter. I think playing on 15 minute quarters you have plenty of time and chances to try and come back.
