Because uhhhhhh I sure am. Using Philly in a franchise mode and it’s rather frustrating at times. Any tips for improving a defense ? To be exact, pass D.

I been using default sliders on All Pro and it is weird... the AI completes 80% of passes (that's nothing new) but they are not scoring a whole lot of points. Admittedly, I only played two game using the Giants as guinea pig until a couple of patches drop. I won the first game 23-21 and the second game 17-3

Like I said... the AI QB completes his passes but they are not scoring a lot.

Same. It's because they are dinking and dunking the whole time. They will go 3 for 3 on a drive but only for 9 yards.

I honestly feel like I am playing a different game than some of the people in the impressions thread.

This years game is really bad in a lot of key areas. That's not me trying to trash Madden for trashing sake, I genuinely want them to fix it because the game is gorgeous and could be amazing.

Coverage is so bad. I've been playing Madden for over 30 years so I know what I'm doing it's just flat out broken. I have CPU QB accuracy at zero and user coverage and reaction at 100 and the CPU still completes over 80%.

Not only can they not defend the pass the pursuit angles are atrocious. Also my defenders don't react to QB scrambles till the QB is past the line of scrimmage. I've watched numerous times where the closest defender just stands there, reacts way too late and even sometimes just completely takes off in the wrong direction. To compound that the game never switches you to the closest guy. Never. I'm not kidding.

Lastly. The offensive line is broken. That's not hyperbole. My last game I watched the replay after every pass play. On every single play there was shenanigans. Every single one somebody messed up a block. There was numerous plays that a 3 man rush beat max protect and it wasn't just 1 of the 3, all 3 would get through. I counted every single play. I didn't get through the word "three mississi...... " before I got hit on every single play.

Ive known somethings not right since my first game but I've really noticed it in my game 3 of franchise so I don't know if it's a problem with a progressing franchise or something like just Madden randomness and maybe that's why people aren't seeing it but honestly the last game I played wasn't just not fun it was a game of completely broken mechanics.

Im not a perennial Madden *****. I've actually quite liked the last few. I really want to like this one but I genuinely think this game is really broken right now and the fact that I'm seeing a lot of people not seeing it has me worried.

I'm seeing all this same stuff (on all-pro).

Hilariously (frustratingly) bad coverage and protection combined with a CPU QB that can't miss.

Through 5 franchise games the CPU QB is right around 80% vs me as well. A ton of dink and dunks. Maybe one or two plays per game where the ball travels at least 20 yards down the field. Most times if I can get them into 3rd and long then my DB literally stands still and lets the WR catch it without any resistance.

CPU running game is also non existent so the with CPU passing 85-90% of the time and completing 80% it kind of becomes an offensive explosion.played the 49ers. Purdy had 352 yards in the first half. This is on 7 minute quarters.

It’s like this in online play too. People just sit in shotgun and have all the time in the world to pass unless you do some gimmicky stuff then that’s about it

Defensive coverage is totally broken. Just wait and see. time will tell i'm right. people will start to see how easy is to score and to be score. games will end up 40ish

It's like the same problem in EA FC 24 or NHL 24. Defense Players are 90 % braindead.

I stopped playing and waiting for better sliders and gameplay-mods to fix it Just feel bad...wasted again $$$

There is definitely a LOT of truth in this post, I'm trying different slider tweaks to see if anything at all works...in other words "throwing crap at the wall and seeing what sticks"....lol

It's the exact same issue in past Maddens, certain sliders (pass reaction and coverage) are not responsive enough, or they just don't flat out work.

This also goes for Hum run block, I can have it set to 0 and STILL average 5 yards a pop on All Madden.

M25 looks really good, but yet again it's more "style over substance"...

I played the chiefs in SB. Mahomes went 35-45 with 1 td and 5 Ints. All Madden 15 mins. Chiefs had 8 TOs overall. I go for the strips alot on tackles in crowds just in case I get beat. instead of hit sticking.

I don't rush. Zone Blitz concepts. Use a LB in coverage to cover the whole middle. Don't let them throw over the top. Make them go on long drives. It's all Percentages the more plays eventually they will goof up.

Computer definitely needs to score more, but I disagree on cpu qb’s being too accurate. Use the coverage shells.

For the life of me I can’t find the coverage shells options. Is it in the play call window. Or is it on the field. Any help would be great. Thanks

Call your defense in the play call screen then when both teams are at the line press triangle on ps5 and it should pop up. You pick the defense you want to show with the left stick.

It’s the same as CFB 25 if you’ve played that.
