Changing defensive formation against Hurry-Up Offense
When you are on defense against a hurry-up offense, the Audible box will pop up to give you a choice of plays for the formation you are in. The top of the box has left and right arrows, which seem to show that you can choose a different defensive formation. What button or stick or combination do you use to change the defensive formation? Nothing I've tried makes it change.Tags: None -

Re: Changing defensive formation against Hurry-Up Offense
You can only change to another formation that has the same personnel as the one you are on (you cannot substitute players).
In your case you probably don’t have another formation with the same personnel as 4-2-5.
If you were in 4-3 you would see 4-3 Over, 4-3 Even, etc.Comment

Re: Changing defensive formation against Hurry-Up Offense
I'm pretty sure if the opponent is running turbo no huddle, you are limited to the same formation.
Vs normal no huddle, you should be able to change formations to others with the same personnel, but if you start subbing players out in the preplay screen then I think you can be restricted as wellBills, Sabres, Illini, Cubs, basically any team that abuses its fanbase and I'm there.Comment

I’ve definitely switched formations against turbo as well as normal no huddle.Favorite Teams:

Re: Changing defensive formation against Hurry-Up Offense
It seems random to me - sometimes I can switch formations, other times I can't. I haven't pressure-tested it yet, but my surface-level impression is that sometimes it works, sometimes it does not.Comment
